Sarah Palin is following a trajectory more Kardashian than politician, demanding a big paycheck in her quest for reality-TV stardom. After shopping her TV docudrama to major broadcast and cable networks, two channels A&E and Discovery have expressed interest in the project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palins Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode, considered a hefty amount for a first-year cable series. The show executive-produced by reality-television guru Marc Burnett will feature the former governor touring her home state, completing activities such as visiting fishing boats or trekking to a gold mine. There had better be a caribou-hunting episode or else this really has no business calling itself a Sarah Palin Alaska show.
Ugggh.
Running for President is expensive...
If she teaches how to skin and field dress it, my whole family will tune in.
Who the heck would pay a million dollars a show about Alaska? I can’t even generate any interest in it even though Palin will be on screen.
yer right. i think:
isn’t there a show featuring OTR drivers making trips up and back?
I remember Ronald Reagan hosted ‘Death Valley Days’ depicting stories of the Old West. Go Sarah!
If I win the lottery, I would. Having spent the Winter Solstice on the shore of the Arctic Ocean, my fascination with all things Alaskan is complete. It's the only place on Earth like it.
Nothing wrong with trying to obtain financial security - you know: “In times like these....”
No kidding! It's a very tame and wholesome idea for a series, with the additional benefits of bleeding money from goofy/liberal cable channels, and keeping some other crap out of her timeslot.
I think it's a great idea, and the more she can make, the better.
If anyone thought she was stupid, they'd better think again. She's running circles around the Washington/New York/LA self-annointed genii.

that would seem to say she feels her 15 minutes of fame are finite.
yathink?
What’s John McCain’s cut?
If she gives up on being as viable candidate—and if she wants to be one, she should be studying foreign affairs like crazy—she’ll find her appeal dropping rapidly.

she can’t not know this.
astute, you.
It is my dream place to visit and I never miss any shows about Alaska...I’m with you.
It’s a little slice of Heaven on earth....
This is true. Somehow, I don't see Barbara Bachman doing this.
This is just petty stupid. If they want her bad enough they’ll pay, if not they won’t end of story. It’s none of NY time rags business anyway. They remind me of a bunch of old gossipy, envious nags.
not that there's anything wrong with that.
Getting rich and speaking for conservatism is a very good career path for her.
But appearing in reality TV is a frivolous pursuit. I would think her more serious if she stuck to speaking, taught courses in govt administration and public policy, wrote, published, and enrolled in a university program masters or above, to study diplomacy and international relations.

IN OTHER WORDS, SARAH JUST PULLED THE RUG OUT FROM UNDER HER WORSHIPPERS.
Who be so smitten they won’t accept it.
