The project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palins Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode.
Sarah Palin is following a trajectory more Kardashian than politician, demanding a big paycheck in her quest for reality-TV stardom. After shopping her TV docudrama to major broadcast and cable networks, two channels A&E and Discovery have expressed interest in the project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palins Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode, considered a hefty amount for a first-year cable series. The show executive-produced by reality-television guru Marc Burnett will feature the former governor touring her home state, completing activities such as visiting fishing boats or trekking to a gold mine. There had better be a caribou-hunting episode or else this really has no business calling itself a Sarah Palin Alaska show.
IN OTHER WORDS, SARAH JUST PULLED THE RUG OUT FROM UNDER HER WORSHIPPERS.
LOL ... you know... if we had "super caps" -- you would be typing that in super caps, too... :-)
It seems that you wish that to be true so much, that you're just itching to see it happen... but the problem with that -- is -- Sarah Palin is doing exactly what is needed before a big political run that she's thinking about doing... and that's getting more national exposure and more name-recognition and consistently (not a one-time "flash-in-the-pan" type of thing) -- and being seen and recognized as an ordinary person that the general American public can easily identify with.
And that's Sarah Palin for sure... she's doing the right thing for her national political future, I would say...
And if she asked for less, they would be hitting her with a cheap prostitute label. I think based on the abuse these libtards throw at her 5 Million per episode with a 20 episode pay guarantee would be quite reasonable.
Can you imagine how much money the show's owners will get when they re-run this series over and over again, during the Palin Presidency... LOL ...
Sure she should get the money... because the show's owners will capitalize on Sarah Palin's fame as President when that time comes... :-)
I heard Sarah's foreign policy, it is the same one RR had, "WE WIN, THEY LOSE".
That's the best policy to have... :-)
Yeah... if she does reality tv you can bet shes given up on being president. And for 1 million per episode... shell be doing bikini poses.
You miss the "big picture"... you see... it's all about getting national exposure and getting it in a positive light with something like this. It gets people to identify with Sarah Palin as a normal and average American person, which she is -- and not the charicature that the leftist liberals try to paint her all the time... :-)
Considering the major draw shell get with people who actually HAVE jobs and worth the advertisers time, its probably going rate. Not to mention the ratings increase the network will get to brag about.
And can you imagine the ratings that they'll be getting when she's President, too... hoo-boy! :-)
The constant battering of Sarah Palin by the left is really tiresome. What are they afraid of????????
Well, they're afraid of the fact that she'll soon be seen as someone that the normal and average American can identify with and they'll want someone like that in the White House...
Now, that's something that the liberal left fears greatly. :-)
Palin’s LDF promised openess and a public quarterly report. They made ONE report that covered the first couple months then nothing since then. That report showed they had raised around 250k. At that rate it would have had more than 500k by the time she resigned, but they kept the LDF open and continued to solicit donations long after she resigned.
Absent any “openess” or reports I extrapolated, based on her popularity and the fervent nature of her supporters, that it probably has more than a million by now. But since they have shut it down to public scrutiny we may never know.
So when Palinistas talk about her being Bk’d I laugh because the truth is i made her a ton of money that she can use for all knds of purposes. The wording in the actual LDF was quite loose.
As for that ruling about it in Alaska, I read it and found it to be pretty weak. Any competent lawyer would blow it out of the water.
but for Republicans concerns, shes cashing OUT.
On the contrary... she's expanding her base of average Americans who will see her as someone they can definitely identify with and they'll want someone like that in the White House, and not some of these liberal-lefties that inhabit "Washington" now... doncha know... :-)
You're right ... she's just a symptom, not the enemy. The real enemy is in our own camp, and it's the fact that we haven't got a clue how to express a set of clear and cogent conservative ideas; and we haven't got a heavy-weight set of political leaders to sell them, even if we did have the ideas in place.
Why are you even doing this, for your ego?
Why, no, Mr. Bray. I am doing this because I care about our country, and would prefer to back a serious candidate rather than a celebrity.
Based on her output to date, Sarah Palin has done nothing to show that she's a serious presidential prospect. She cannot provide a cogent and serious analysis of the domestic and international economic issues we face. She cannot offer any serious and weighty discussions of the foreign policy issues we face. She cannot speak with authority on China, who is a combination of both. She has shown nothing to demonstrate that she could deal with the threats posed by Iran or a resurgent Russia. She cannot offer a clear discussion of what's wrong with our political system -- she relies on slogans and a set of over-used folksy catch-phrases. In short, her present situation characterizes the worst of American politics.
Sarah Palin has a great deal of potential -- and ten years of hard work could turn that potential into a serious political contender. But you ... and she ... seem convinced that none of that hard work is required, and that she's ready now. But she's not ready; and we can see just by looking at the current clown how very bad it is to have an amateur in the Oval Office.
The ugly truth about Sarah Palin is that she is a celebrity who would not be getting a second look from any of you if she didn't have a nice ass.
This is awesome!
I hope Sarah banks 10 or 20 million and wraps this up by the end of 2011. She will get her face on TV in a good light and controlled setting while driving the scumbags (even more) nuts, and be ready for a run at knocking off their Ubanga. Perfect!
My Oh My see how the FR trolls come out in droves!!!!!!!!!
Troll infested thread alert!
I've been reading Michener's Alaska and the place is absolutely fascinating. I'd love to go, if I had the means. I would certainly watch a show about it.
i cant see it any other way. shes made her evaluation/calculation and this demonstrates what it was: no sarah for pres, except to flirt with the possibility for money.
The calculation she made was to get exposure with the American public in a way that doesn't present her as a charicature that the liberal-lefties are always doing. That's what the leftists fear greatly, that the American public will see her as someone they can truly identify with... :-)
perhaps shell tour with ozzie!
LOL ... as if the American public can identify with the likes of ozzie.... :-)
.......and Obama can?
I'm sorry to have to let you know, troll, that Obama is quite a professional Marxist even though he may be new to executive office; whereas Sarah Palin is not new to executive office.
Some of us for some time have been saying Palin has no political office intentions after resigning and is going for the gold (no problem with that) and have been ridiculed as Palin haters.
As soon as you "get it right"... we'll let you know... LOL ...
This troll would have said the same thing if we had a second Ronald Reagan here. RRII would be annoying the P out of she/he/it with his “simplistic answers.”
And the PalinGestapos relentless attacks on anyone who dares speak facts and truths is, IMO, wearing on many FReepers. Each thread about Palin sees more and more resistance to the group think trying to jam her down peoples throats.
So by what your saying she was down around $250K and losing ground. Why should she go bankrupt to hold a position that made her a target w/her hands tied? If she stayed she would have been destroyed, no chance to write a book and taken from the American conscious, she left and just the opposite happened. Sounds like a great decision.
Pray for America and Gov Palin
At the rate we're going now we might not have an election in 2012!!!!
Have no worries, ye of little faith... :-) ... we'll have elections in 2012, but I think the important election for Sarah Palin is in 2016... actually... and this is all preparation ...
