From a psychological standpoint that will make it much easier to repeal the legislation after 2013. Provided that is that a Republican with guts becomes president and that the GOP doesn't split between the fiscal primacy, the moral primacy and RINO branches of the party.

OTOH, if this trend continues, his toxicity may spread to other Demon-rats, and the 2010 elections might lead to a (dare I wish for it?) veto-proof Republican congress.

Think: how wonderful would it be to see Hussein's DeathCare dealt a repeal in 10 months, as the first act of a new Congress--and his veto would be overridden....

But I digress. :) We must kill THIS bill, and then we won't have to concern ourselves with it in January.

guess I’d have to vote “strongly disapprove,” since “hate the lying bastard” is not an option.

LOL!

Strong disapprove is up to 44%. Astounding.

Americans appear to not be amused but a person who has deceived them so profoundly.

AND, if my take on Obama is correct, this Narcissist is only getting started with his you RULE by DECREE so by this time next year this poll will be worse than even we would suggest.

You’re right about the subtlety of the takeover. If Obama gets his “health care reform,” it will be a license to take over everything else. Sadly, too many people believe that this won’t happen. And that’s scary.

On to Washington to kick some butt tomorrow.

Wish I could be there. Say, do me a favor and make a sign or shout something like "Recovering_Democrat from FR says NO TO OBAMA CARE!" :)

I bet the quick exposure of the California Water and North Dakota Bank deals, along with Coburn’s threat to hold reward nominations, are making Nancy’s bribery efforts increasingly complicated

It doesn’t matter to Obama whether people want this so-called “reform” or not. He doesn’t need to be loved, but if this thing passes, he will be feared. The hallmarks of a gangster or a dictator.

Good luck, romanesq! Can you post a thread about your experience tomorrow. I live in Wisconsin and was tempted to hop on a plane,,but the last minute reservation makes the flight too costly.

OTOH, if this trend continues, his toxicity may spread to other Demon-rats, and the 2010 elections might lead to a (dare I wish for it?) veto-proof Republican congress.

Not in November, there are literally, not figuratively, not enough democrats up for reelection. Even if we took every one of the 18 Democrat senate seats up for election at the mid term we would not have the 67 seats necessary to override the presidents veto. In fact even if we took all 18 we would still be one vote short of the 60 votes necessary to override a Filibuster.

Of course if we were to take 18 out of 18 dem seats with no losses I think we could probably count on Lieberman deciding to abandon Obama in order to save himself. Heck if we only take the 13 dem seats that are considered vulnerable I would think it likely we would have little problems getting the 6 dem votes necessary to break filibusters. But there is no chance of getting enough to override a veto.

And after 2013, unless the GOP screws up and runs a RINO, we won't need to override a veto to repeal Obamacare.

The closed door meeting, at this point, is simply carving up the carcass.

I believe you are right. He is a One Termer!

He will go for broke on every Left Wing Agenda item before it is too late - i.e. the Mid Term elections. This year until the next Congress is seated will see a Communist transformation of America UNLESS we can convince the Democrat members of the present Congress that this is suicide for (1) themselves (2) the Country (3) the Democrat Party - and not necessarily in that order.

The Constitution offers no defence against a President that exercises Executive Orders and is supported by a House that thinks 'The Slaughter Solution' and 'Reconciliation' are SOP.

and there is REAL DANGER in a lame duck session after elections this November. We may all need to go sit and occupy the Capitol from Nov. 2 till January.

>> he’s hit -21 three times in the last three weeks, indicating a likelihood of breaking through -21 and achieving a new low at some point in the next few weeks <<

Not to rain on today’s parade, but I think the true “underlying” value of the Index is now around -17 or -18. And AFAIC, that’s fantastic news!

On the other hand, to get today’s 3-day moving average number of -21, I calculate that last night’s “raw number” for the Index probably was down around -23 or -24. If I’m correct, then the “3-day methodology” used by Rasmussen will keep the Index in the neighborhood of -21 for the next two days. And there’s an excellent chance it will even go down to -22.

But a drop to the latter level would most likely be a chimera. Come Monday, I expect the number will move up, so as to bring it closer to the value of the ten-day moving average — which this morning hit a new historic low, -17.70.

(Ditto for the 60-day moving average, which also hit a new low this morning, -15.02. More excellent news!)

Forecast for tomorrow:

85% probability that the Index is at -20 or lower.

15% probability that it rises to -19 or higher.

Great, now all we need is a legislature that will impeach this guy.

Regardless of which party is in charge, if there is overt corruption in the WH can't we the people demand impeachment proceedings?
