already done. instructed wife and kids to ignore knocks at the door and not talk to anyone we don’t know in the next few months who comes by the house.
I crossed out everything else and wrote “Decline to respond” on it.

But how will we get our “fair share” of government money?

My local news reported last night that if you do not answer questions on the census the government passed a law that makes you pay a $100 fine for every question not answered and $500 for each false answer - anybody know anything about this? Is it for real?

That should be on the census form then. Is it?

How they going to know I am answering wrong? Oh wait, they can check such with the IRS. Oh double wait, why the frak am I filling out a census then if they can get what they need to know from their IRS databases? =.=

All I know is, researching my family history, I have really appreciated finding pages from the census where they listed their names, ages, occupation, whether they owned or rented, where their parents were born, and whether they could read. I don't mind providing that information, not for Obama's sake but for my future descendants.
Information more personal than that, hell no.

My census form says nothing about “mandatory, fine, or penalty” anywhere, therefore, answering one question shouldn’t be a problem. They can’t fine you without using any of the aforementioned wording. If the fines are true, there’s no mention of it, so.. ignorance is bliss.

Do you know how many people have been prosecuted for not filling out their census form?
Zero.
Are you so important that FedGov is going to make you the first person ever prosecuted?

You answering the census will not help your future generations unless everything burns down but the halls of government. Previous census recording were done on a localized version and that is where those records came from.

wonder how they are going to fill out the census forms at the local, phx area “drop houses”? they found upwards of 30 people at a house a couple days ago. too soon for the census to count all of them.

I will only put that. They also receive a high-lighted portion of the Constitution. Done.

I answered question 1.
Then I stuck an mailing label on each remaining question that reads:
“UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION
Article 1, Section 2
Information not required for actual enumeration for
Representation or direct taxation”
