As this stand[s], Democrats plan a vote on a rule on Sunday that would make changes to the Senate-passed bill while deeming the original legislation to have passed the House.

So the voted NO to eliminate the option NOT to vote on the Bill? Something like that. Aren't procedural votes fun?
Just kill me now.
I'm sorry, but that will be attended to by the proper bureaucracy after they find some way to make this sausage into law.

If it passes this way, lawsuits will fly.If it passes this way, something with considerably more substance than a lawsuit needs to be let fly.

I’m sorry but anybody who voted for Obama and the Democrats is stupid. I can see not voting for McCain, staying home, voting third party...but to actually vote for Obama...stupid.

If the ones who are opposed to this debacle have ANY spine at all, they will simply vote against the “rule making” on Sunday, the same as the would have voted against the bill itself.
If the intent is to keep the “rule making” vote a secret so that some dems can vote “yea” and have cover, then 1/5 of the house members should simply invoke Article 1, Section 5, paragraph 3 of the Constitution and demand that the yeas and nays for the “rule making” question be “...entered on the Journal”.
Surely to God the repubs can get 1/5 of the house to do that, right?

There are some FIRM NO votes missing from this list, which is a good sign, because it means that the 222 is NOT a predictor of the HC vote.
To: Kimberly GG
No. It will not be rectified on election day. There will be revenge but that isn't worth much to our children. If the Republicans take all of the seats up for election they will not repeal this. They will seek to ensure that their friends are hired to run it and they will pass legislation to make it "more efficient," to "end fraud and abuse," perhaps to strip out government funding of abortion. But Medicine will have passed through the gate of socialism with the entire society in tow. And those of us past 60 who are not making large salaries or using great wealth to prop up the ruling party will have no access to medical procedures or medicine beyond painkillers and possibly the less expensive antibiotics unless we can go offshore. It won't be immediate; the effects of this bill are put off until after Soetoro's re-election but it will come, nevertheless unless this thing is shot down in the fraudulent "vote" supposedly scheduled for Sunday.

well i blame millions of black voters that went to the polls solely to elect the black man to office and not even know what his policys were...all that mattered was the black man won....
The irony being, of course, that Barack Obama, in cahoots with Planned Parenthood, wants to destroy the black man's race through abortion. And to think B.O. isn't even a full-blooded African-American anyway.

You got that straight. I am second to none in my loathing of McLame but I darn sure got my a*s out there for him when I saw the alternative.

I suspect strongly that were McCain the president he would push some sort of socialized medicine. He certainly would be for Amnesty and that would likely have been his first order of business. Amnesty would shortly bring us Democrats, Cap&Trade or worse, formal nationalization of the banking system and then of oil and then of more and more industries “important to national security.”

Plenty of blame to go around but I hope all the conservatives who made a “principled” stand and stayed at home in November 2008 are happy.

This is a coup. period.
Now if any of the Republicans gave a damn about the Republic they would physically shut down the House. I mean that literally.
The Republic is being overthrown and the Republicans are too chickenshit to defend it. Time for punches to be thrown, hallways to be blocked. They should barricade the building and tell the cameras that they are fighting against the overthrow of our government.
This is a war, and our reps in the house are afraid to fight for their own country.

The number of conservatives who refrained from “principle” for voting for the Republican in 2008 is probably dwarfed by the number of indies who went Obama at the last minute not understanding what a dangerous treacherous bastard he was. Which is kind of John McCain’s fault because he wanted to remain the Kentucky Fried Gentleman.
