Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter is the first state chief executive to sign a measure requiring his attorney general to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform.
Legal experts say the measure, signed Wednesday, will likely be struck down. But Idaho's new law reflects growing frustration with President Barack Obama's health-care proposal.

Wait a minute. I thought we had a news article the other day that Virginia was first. But when I saw that I thought actually Arizona was first. That makes 3 firsts by now:).
Idaho is the first state to have this become law. The other(s) await gubenatorial signatures.

“According to the article these “experts” say that federal law trumps state law. Did these “experts” forget about the 10th Amendment to the Constitution?”
Good question.
Our Forefathers would absolutely CRAP if they time traveled to 2010! Permission from Fedgov to own a WHAT? Taxes are how high? Commerce clause trumps the Bill of Rights? Who said? etc

Was it Andrew Jackson who told the Supreme Court: ‘Let’s see you enforce it’?

Was it Andrew Jackson who told the Supreme Court: Lets see you enforce it? Yes indeed. Not only that, but it turns out he was addressing the inimitable John Marshall(first activist chief justice who laid the groundwork for many of the ills coming out of the SCOTUS).

Isn’t that what happened with prohibition? People just ignored it, and eventually it was repealed.

The Missouri House has passed a “health care freedom act” which will be a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November.
Main thrust is that an individual or other entity can not be forced to purchase or participate in any health care insurance or system.
They also have a proposal that requires the AG to due Feds when ever the Governor, legislature, or people’s initiative demand it. I do not recall the particulars as to how many signatures or % of legislature.

Great link - gives one hope!
Unbelieveable the way this "health reform" is being rammed ahead, and they may just get it done against all odds or good fortune...it's appalling!
That loser Kucinich is my Rep....people here are not happy with him, and it's good to know there may be some feasible recourse to this federal health mandate should it get through.
Plus whatever happens, maybe we'll finally unseat Kucinich too? What a jerk!! It could happen!

See link at post 8:
lots of states have already filed or pre-filed or announced their intention to follow suit, and file suit, including my Ohio! (take
that, "Dennis!" - lol)
I think a little tea with my Idaho potato (and my Virginia tobacco) might be nice...
