Pro-Amnesty, Open-Borders Supporters to March on National Mall
NumbersUSA ^ | March 16, 2010

The pro-amnesty, open-borders groups are pouring in millions of dollars to fund an Amnesty March this Sunday on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The "March For America" is receiving support from business, religious, social and ethnic groups across the country and will help transport close to 100,000 people to the nation's capital.

Just a sampling of the groups funding this weekend's March include:

* AFL-CIO * America's Voice * American Jewish Community * Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. * Center for American Progress * Farmworker Justice * Jewish Council on Urban Affairs * Jobs for America Now * League of United American Citizens (LULAC) * National Council of La Raza * National Immigration Law Center * SEIU * UFCW * United Farm Workers * US Conference of Catholic Bishops * World Relief

Just last week, Pres. Obama met with pro-amnesty leaders at the White House and also met with Senators Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) who are working on a bi-partisan comprehensive immigration reform bill. Pro-amnesty leaders urged the President to make a move on immigration before this weekend's Amnesty March, but they came away from their talks with the President discouraged.

The central theme of Sunday's Amnesty March will be to provide citizenship for the nation's 12 million illegal aliens. It will begin with a non-denominational prayer service followed by the demonstration on the Mall between the Washington Monument and Capitol Building.

Organizers for the Amnesty March are providing transportation for marchers and have a website dedicated to helping marchers organize before Sunday. New reports estimate 700 buses will be heading to Washington this weekend.

Why would the Catholic Legal Immigration Network want open borders?

Looks like several religious organization have gone over to the dark side.

Not unusual, portions did the same during the great wars.

Why would the Catholic Legal Immigration Network want open borders?

Because most Mexicans are Catholic and the church is benefiting. They have been very welcoming to the horde of illegals here in Atlanta.

That’s why they’re spending millions of dollars.

Bet the funding is coming from the Rockefeller/Ford/Carnegie foundations.

The illegal invasion has always had ‘religious’ underpinning. Some of US knew there was something suspicious regarding that word ‘compassionate’. When all the unholy layers are peeled away what one finds is the principle of theft. YES these leftist are lying thieves.

They didn’t mention ICE or FBI.

Easiest way to bust the inciters is to be where they are at the same time , don’t ya know.

Going over to the dark side is a bit strong. They are just naive is all.

They see suffering and poverty and families split, and they want to do something about it. And that's all very laudable - their humanity does them honor. Unfortunately, this is not the right way to go about it.

Making 12 million illegal aliens legal, just like that, may very well normalise the situation, but it also makes a mockery of the concept of American citizenship. It stops being something that those who went before strived for, fought for, sacrificed for, and becomes the equivalent of membership of a "diners club".

Secondly, its a slap in the face to all the many LEGAL immigrants who have had to wait, and pay and suffer the tortous nuances of the US immigration service. Why did they bother?

And its very bad for the judicial system, because it sends the clear message that these immigration laws, passed by Congress, are effectively "optional". Now, if laws are optional, expect more of them to be broken.

If we’re going to keep giving citizenship to anybody that can get across the border, and we can’t control the border we might as well just set up voting booths and welfare offices in Mexico.

Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. is made up of La Raza members who have warped by Liberation Theology.

They’ll support Obama’s ‘social justice’(wealth redistribution) ideals completely yet will ignore Obamaa’s abortion stance.

Catholics In Name Only!!!

You should hear the ads on Spanish TV for this march. "They've got to pass it, or the suffering will continue." "I don't want to lose my family." "If not now, when?" "We demand." The people in the ads are hostile and demanding. It is very, very interesting. Oh, and the ads are paid for by one of Podesta's (Soros') organizations.

The Progressives have hijacked many of these organizations for their own purposes. Some of them were Leftist orgs from the get-go. (such as La Raza, LULAC, CAP, etc.) They are all funded by the usual foundations. Ford/Rockefeller/Carnegie/Clinton/Soros/etc.

This has been going on for a century or more. *Naive* doesn't apply any longer. They know what they are doing and with whom they are involved.

Otherwise, you are entirely correct.

I think it is worse than being naive. I have had lots of dealings with these people. At the basis of their thinking is the vile assumption that the illegals are more important than American citizens, that American citizens should pay to redress the inequality these people experience in their home countries, and that our ability to absorb them is limitless because we are a relatively wealthy country. The first reason is the one that bugs me the most, because of their inherent disloyalty to -- and in some cases, dislike of -- their fellow American citizens. To me, it is scandalous, and probably treasonous, to make such assumptions, and the fact that these beliefs are shared by many in Congress is just mind-blowing.

More leftist aggitation for those who have a vested interest in Obamacare! I guess those in charge of this unholy alliance think that the timing is right for immigration amnesty.
