Graham: Pelosi has House Dems 'liquored up on sake' ready for 'suicide run'

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Monday used language that compared House Democrats' efforts to pass healthcare reform legislation to a Japanese kamikaze mission.

"Nancy Pelosi, I think, has got them all liquored up on sake and you know, they're making a suicide run here," Graham said on the Keven Cohen Show on WVOC radio in Columbia, S.C.

Graham is a staunch opponent of healthcare reform despite his efforts to work with the White House on issues such as terror trials and immigration reform.

The South Carolina senator also used strong language against White House senior adviser David Axelrod this weekend for criticizing Republican arguments about healthcare reform.

"Senator [Scott] Brown [R-Mass.] comes from a state that has a healthcare plan that's similar to the one we're trying to enact here," Axelrod said on ABC's "This Week". "We're just trying to give the rest of America the same opportunities that the people of Massachusetts have."

Graham responded "The American people are getting tired of this crap...No way in the world is what they did in Massachusetts like what we're about to do in Washington."

Hey, Mr. Axelrod! "Opportunity? Opportunity?! We don't need no stinkin' opportunity!"

Axelrod's definition of "opportunity" is a bit looser than mine. I suppose that tax cheats will soon have simply an "opportunity" to spend time in jail. Right Mr. Geithner?

I’ve learned that whenever a person who has a great deal to win or lose does something that seems to make no sense, it means they are considering a variable that is off my radar.

What these democrats are doing appears to be political suicide for something it is very clear the public does not want. So it begs the question, what is the “secret” reason for their action. It must be pretty big, because I see no upside to any of them for voting yes and they have a LOT to lose.

Something is very, VERY fishy.

>>POWER. They will own you if they can manipulate your health care.<<

That is the “obvious” one, but if they are voted out, they lose their power. I mean it. this thing makes no sense. It is as if it is rooted in the kernel in this thread in some way:

amphetamines were used, too, by their superiors, injecting the pilots. Some of them were handcuffed to their own flight deck, and given aircraft fuel just enough to get out to a US carrier in the ocean, not enough to get back to land. This made them think, WTF? じゃーせっかく, I am going to die anyways, might as well take Americans out with me.... the sake was just more or less a small ceremonial sip using a sakazuki.

Still , I say many paralells to the kamikaze missions and I am generally not very fond of Graham. He has it right in this regard. And Michael Savage does as well. Liberalism TRULY is a mental disorder.

pelosi’s federal insurance must cover her grandkids. Either that or she doesn’t care about them or their future children.

And every other democrat who votes for this horror of a health care bill must either not have any extended family, or they just don’t care about the suffering their family members will go through because of their voting for obama’s euro care.

Don’t they realize that their extended family members will be subject to obama care too? Talk about the sins of the father being visited on the children.

Don’t they realize what they are doing? Maybe they just don’t care about anyone, even their own extended family members.

If they are smart they are thinking of cutting their losses and dumping the Hope and Change Pied Piper.

In addition to the power, there is a theory out there that more people are starting to believe in which is that this tax increase coming under Obamacare is actually a masked bailout of a soon-to-be-totally-broke US Treasury and is being done so Social Security and Medicare don’t immediately collapse, and that we will never see so much as a band-aid of actual health care from it.

Karl Denninger is one who is thinking this - he’s a pretty bright guy and my favorite financial blogger. Here’s a blog entry of his from tonight on this topic:

I expected them to kill this stupid bill after Scott Brown won. So much for trying to apply common sense to Dems.

I see them ramming this through and then starting in with cap & tax and open borders. The democrat theory is that by bringing up those issues we will have completely forgotten about health care by November. However, those two issues just might make the American public twice as angry at them as they are now.

The democrat leadership is that beholden to their policies, and that out of touch with the American people. Remember, 0bama is the guy who ran the campaign on the pledge to make your utility costs “skyrocket.”

Let her sing the aria to Madame Butterfly by herself. Why should everyone go down with her?

Of course, if they all want to commit Hari Kari...
