“I know you’re kidding but this is my fear.”

I am absolutely not kidding. We need to beat this Deemocrat Party into the ground with their own folly. As we begin a real resistance, we can DEEM it necessary to ignore their “treacherous votes” and slay them with their own principals.

What they are doing is unconstitutional; they know, we know, but until they become shown as willfully malignant, not enough of the people will know it. We need to meet them with the same scorn and ridicule they have used against us all these years that we have been silent.

As soon as we have standing (someone is willing to resist the tax and carry it into a court) we are powerless to appeal to the courts; they are co-equal branches. We can, however, crack open an industrial can of whupass on them so that when the time comes, if they chose this path, the public will be wise to them.

I am not, however, convinced the votes are there OR that they are suicidal. This may all be a bluff to bring over the reluctant votes. Appearing invincible or crazy is an old thug tactic; no one wants to mess with you, so you get your way. And these are thugs.

1. Win the majotrity.

2. House Dems (holding the Majority) can vote for a different Representative to be the Speaker. She was *their* choice. Not sure i it’s tied to an election cycle, a session, or just that the majority of the party wanting to take a new vote by fiat. But yes, she can be replaced/demoted from Speakership...by the Dems..if they wanted to.

I love that—”Deemocrats” this would be good at a Tea party or during the election cycle especially if this Health Crap bill passes or is deemed passed

She is elected by House membership. The only way she goes is to lose her seat or be replaced in the next congress.

Every January following an election the new Congress votes for their leaders. If Dems take a beating in November, chances are good Pelosi won’t be their leader come January.

That’s the title of a very good book by Vince Flynn, Term Limits. Just read it, and I highly recommend it.

.
But the damage she intended to do will have been done.

Not sure if it’s tied to an election cycle, a session, or just that the majority of the party wanting to take a new vote by fiat.

Speakers are elected by the majority caucus at the time when the new Congress is being organized.

That said, the Democrat caucus is free to change their leadership at any time.

One suspects that a future minority Democrat caucus may wish to festoon the nearest lamppost with their current leadership.

The only way she goes is to lose her seat or be replaced in the next congress.

Not completely true.

She could resign like Newt did. Some scandal could cause her to resign the Speakership.

There could be for some reason a change in the majority of the House at which time the new majority would force a vote.

If the Dims loose confidence in her leadership enough that a large number of the Dims in the house circulate a petition calling for a vote for the Speakership she could be voted out mid term.

“Win a congressional election instead of nitpicking every single GOP candidate into oblivion.”

Mega dittos!

We can nitpick them AFTER they are elected.

The republicans pretty much just got the bum’s rush, and the democrats are about to get the same treatment.

They are all pretty thick, but they just might catch on eventually.

IF, and here is the big IF, if the people keep paying attention.

A demoncrat resign? I dunno...

We could not get Clintoon and Pelosi has all sorts of scandals that never touched her.

If health care fails, it's technically possible, but they would more likely blame Bam-Bam.

There is a procedure, detailed in “Mason’s Manual” (which is the book of precedents of House procedures), called a “Motion to Declare the Chair Vacant”—a majority of all House members is required to carry the motion.

As I remember JFK’s Profiles in Courage, Rep. George Norris made such a motion circa 1910, which led to Speaker Joseph Cannon being deposed.

I’m surprised that the GOP didn’t attempt to put together a coalition of disaffected ‘Rats to dump Pelosi. This seemed like a no-brainer.

I agree ... I think some backyard protest fires should burn on Saturday. Be safe, but get a good plume of black smoke in the sky for all to see. You can add pine needles or wet leaves to generate smoke.
