Specter Opens Door on White House Felonies(Can this be what brings down Zer0 and his pals?)
american spectator ^ | 3/16/10 | jeffrey lord

"There's a crime called misprision of a felony. Misprision of a felony is when you don't report a crime. So you're getting into pretty deep areas here in these considerations." -- U.S. Senator Arlen Specter on March 12, 2010

"Right now, they're doing the 'I won't confirm or deny,' and for us, it leaves two possibilities. One is the promise of transparency in this administration is just shot. The second one is even worse, which is either Sestak is lying or the administration has done something wrong and is covering it up…" -- U.S. Congressman Darryl Issa on Friday on March 12, 2010

"The 'stonewall strategy' functioned from the very first episodes of the cover-up. It was instinctive, from the very top of the Administration to the bottom. It was also ad hoc, developed in small reactions to the flurry of each day's events…we found ourselves trying to hold a line where we could." -- Nixon White House Counsel John Dean in his Watergate book Blind Ambition

Here we go again.

Even as the drama of health care carries the headlines, beneath the surface, visible now, the iceberg of scandal ripples.

First, the timeline on the blossoming scandal upon which we will now officially fix the dreaded "gate" descriptive. Jobsgate.

Oh, how I wish Sestak had been running a recorder on this one!

Also, what did obama know and when did he know it?

Come on November! Get here soon so the investigation can begin. Let’s start looking for our special prosecutor.

The people can’t fight back or they would damn themselves, and that is too much for most Americans.

Where’s the rest of the news media on this? The Bush Justice Dept. fires a few people as per their perogative and the media made that a national scandal. But the Obama White House attemps to dole out jobs for partisan political favors, a real crime, and the media snoozes.

ha ha ha ... Arlen feels betrayed so he's responding with a betrayal of his own. What is sad in all this is that Arlen has a chance of being re-elected at all.

Oh, and confidential to the turncoat: be careful about which scabs you choose to pick lest someone dig into the deal that added the "at" to your "R."

The poll majority on my blog favors trying Obama for treason BEFORE Impeachment and the next highest number AFTER Impeachment.

Of course, the poll on my little blog is hardly scientific, as anyone anywhere in the world can vote, but it does show a significant number of Americans want Obama to be removed from office and sent to prison.

Does Scottish Law still allow the head of state to be Hanged, Drawn and Quartered if convicted of treason?

If so, I’m all for Scottish Law.

That is definitely true - Republicans are held to a higher standard by leftists than Democrats are because of the basic Republican (Conservative, actually) belief in trying to adhere to a moral standard.

That’s why conservative commentators and writers go after conservatives doggedly (think: Mark Foley) while the liberals never go after liberals as doggedly (think: Eric Massa). We have a moral standard - stray away and expect to get called out. They do not have a moral standard. Their idea of morality is “it’s ok if we do it because we don’t espouse morality”.

Interesting article.

It is worth reading the entire six pages.

Yup, I read the whole thing. The problem is that the comparison to Watergate is naive at this point. Naive because it supposes that either the media or Department of Justice would go after anyone in the Obama administration for anything. Ain't gonna happen.

The one point worth considering is that it's possible the GOP could regain the House and/or Senate in November, and thus have some investigative power. Even then, however, let's be real: Liberals get away with crimes all the time. Bill and Hillary. Sandy Berger. ACORN. The list goes on and on and on.

I dunno about that, but it appears to require playing of bagpipes at all official ceremonies. Arlen is ready! :)

Does this prove that Arlen Specter is a less of a RINO and less despicable than respulsive stinking RINO Juan McCain?

McCain spends all his time kissing Obama’s arse.

It depends on the mood of the country. Nixon had a bad economy, stock market crash, high gas prices, inflation, war in ME etc. The 90s were a cakewalk in comparison, and that is what the difference was.

Oooohhh but the press loves to build up a hero so that they can make them fall hard later. Once the minions turn on the master it truly is ugly (but gives the warm-fuzzy feeling of just comeuppance, and one can’t seem to find much pity for the evil doer being devoured by his own minions)
