House Republican Whip Eric Cantor says spat with Israel 'jeopardizes America's national security', while another senior party member concerned about administration's 'softer approaches' toward Palestinian Authority, Syria and Iran
WASHINGTON – Republican lawmakers came out swinging Monday against President Barack Obama's hard line toward Israel over its controversial plans to expand a settlement in disputed east Jerusalem.
The number two Republican in the House of Representatives deplored the Obama administration's stance on Israel as "irresponsible" a week after Israel gave the green light to build 1,600 new homes for Jewish settlers in the area the Palestinians want as the capital of their future state.
"House Republicans remain committed to our long-standing bilateral friendship with Israel, as well as to the commitments this country has made,” he added.
Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, demanded that the Obama administration halt its condemnations of "an indispensable ally and friend of the United States."

Man, I swear I remember about 6 months ago or so that Obama said he was happy Israel had agreed to a moritorium on building in the west bank and had no problem with them building projects in Jerusalem that were already in progress. He said that’s all he had been asking for. How does anyone know where they are at with Obama when he changes his position, unannounced, on a week to week basis.
Could be more Chicago politics? (Blackmail actually, but that sounds racist!) 0 wants the Jewish lobby to do more to pass Obamacare.

Nearly every major peace agreement has been ultimately broken and violated by one side, and it wasn't the Israeli's. It is Israel willing to bend 99% of the way towards a compromise, and when offered to the Palestinians they continually and consistently say “no,” all or nothing. This from a people who openly state that their goal is the destruction of Israel and lost much of this land because of an unprovoked attack on Israel in the first place!
It's easy to make demands on Israel, to threaten them, bully, make speeches...... Going after those that don't threaten you and are republics ruled by law, civil people that are not looking for trouble. Those willing to compromise, have an inclusive and multicultural society aren't the ones that need convincing Mr. President- Maybe the other side that voted into power a Hezbollah government in the past committed to Israels destruction would be a better target of your aimed speeches intended to assert yourself. If you were in a different place just 10 Km away from the Knesset, there are places where they don't share your values, and they are not looking for peace, and they are not the ones you're talking to because your speech will fall on deaf ears; pushing them will simply cause a backlash, so you go the path of least resistance. Sorry for my long rambling answer below....these are my opinions only.
Because for liberals/socialists/marxists/demoRATs/progressives/communists, their marxist ideology & socialist agenda will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS trump race, nationality, family, religion, ethnic background, etc.
That is why supposedly "religious black churches & black Americans" will vote 98% for a fellow black socialist like 0bozo who wants to keep them dependent on the gubmint plantation, but have no problems with liberal blacks & whites throwing oreo cookies at Michael Steele in his run for MD governor or calling Condi Rice "Aunt Jemima" and making cartoons depicting that, or for continuing to attack Clarence Thomas for the past 20 years after the bitter attacks & lies to keep him off the Supreme Court as a conservative jurist.
It is why so-called faithful Catholics, voted over 50% for the pro-abortion, pro-homosexual/lestian, commie pig 0bozo & other abortion Catholic politicians.
It is why 78% of highly educated but dumb ass ignorant Jews in this country vote for 0bozo & the demoRATs time after time, even though the demoRATs are the worst enemy of Israel in this country.
I believe that the vast majority of Jews in America, are Jewish only from a ethnic heritage standpoint, and in reality do not believe in God at all, whether from a Jewish orthodox standpoint or from a Christian standpoint. I am a born again Christian, and I believe that God has allowed the vast majority of liberal Jews to harden their hearts and refuse to allow truth or belief to enter inside them. I believe that God has allowed the nation of Israel to be raised again, in preparation for the ultimate end times, but most Jews reject any belief in this, and therefore by default will vote for an ideology & agenda that seeks to destroy them.
In the meantime, it is tragically unfortunate that some of the most evil demoRATs (Soros, Rahm Emanuel, Schumer, Axlerod, Waxman, Feinstein, Feingold, Al Franken, etc) are of Jewish heritage and yet do everything in their power to destroy the U.S. and Israel, while upholding & protecting terrorist Islamism.
Liberals are genetically deficient, they have mental disorders that prevent them from telling right from wrong. The Bible says in Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Born again, evangelical & fundamental Biblical Christians in this country do support Israel, and in fact are the greatest supporters that Israel has in America. There is a staunchly fundamental Christian group in America called Yeddidim (not 100% sure of spelling) of Israel, which stands for Friend of Israel. They raise funds & donation for Jewish settlements and also contributed warm pullover sweaters to Israeli soldiers, men & women, serving on the Syrian & Lebonese borders. We believe that God still has a mission & purpose for the Jewish nation of Israel, that will be fulfilled in future prophetic events
