BOSTON A former top Homeland Security official from Boston is set to go on trial for allegedly encouraging her housekeeper to remain in the United States illegally.
Lorraine Henderson, the former regional director of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, was suspended after her arrest in December 2008.
Prosecutors say the Salem resident continued to employ a Brazilian housekeeper and encouraged her not to leave, even after a fellow agent warned her about the womans status. An affidavit also alleges Henderson employed two other illegal immigrants.
Henderson was responsible for stopping illegal aliens from entering the country through Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

This is of particular note...the cartels are recruiting from our own agencies:
In the past two years, there have been 400 public corruption cases involving federal, state and local law enforcement agents originating from the Southwest border region, Kevin Perkins, FBI assistant director for criminal investigations, told the Senate Homeland Security subcommittee on preparedness.
James Tomsheck, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection assistant commissioner, told the panel the drug cartels operating in Mexico are making a concerted effort to infiltrate CBP, and the agency is responding with more screening of job applicants with polygraph tests and background investigations. Corruption cases were opened last year on 576 CBP officers and Border Patrol agents.

Was Romney ever charged for his illegal alien servants?
My guess is that this clown also didn't pay Social Security taxes on his illegal alien hired help.
“Was Romney ever charged for his illegal alien servants?”
Or Linda Chavez, etc. etc.???
Yeah, And I’m sure the guys taking care of McCain’s 8 or 9 houses are all upstanding citizens.
“Yeah, And Im sure the guys taking care of McCains 8 or 9 houses are all upstanding citizens.”
Oh, wouldn’t you just love to be a fly on the wall in any one of those houses??

Axelrod: Illlegal immigration won’t be addressed in health bill
White House senior adviser David Axelrod made clear Sunday that concerns within the Hispanic Caucus about the exclusion of illegal immigrants from the healthcare exchange won’t be addressed under the current legislation.
Responding to the concerns of Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) and others when asked by host Candy Crowley on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Axelrod said President Barack Obama believes “this is not the vehicle through which to address our immigration issue.”

Axelrod stressed that legal immigrants will be able to purchase insurance through a national health insurance exchange.
Resolutions about illegal immigration are for another time, another bill, Axelrod said.
“This is not the place for this nor is this the place to resolve dipsutes over abortion,” he said, referring to the continuing dispute with Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) and his coalition. “I believe as the week those on these issues will clarify themselves.”
And then immigration reform could be next, he said.
“We have to resolve the larger question, which is the status of undocumented workers in this country,” Axelrod said. “We can’t solve it in the context of this debate.”
Axelrod said the White House is “very optimistic” about the health bill’s passage.
More on this wonderful ‘public servant’
From 2003 until she was suspended in December 2008, Henderson was the Boston area port director for the Department of Homeland Security. She was responsible for overseeing all of the international ports of entry in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, including Logan International Airport, T.F. Green International Airport in Rhode Island and Bradley International Airport in Connecticut.
In a related affidavit filed in December 2008, it was alleged that Henderson employed three illegal aliens in her home while she was the Boston area port director.
It was further alleged that another customs and border protection officer had warned Henderson in 2006 that one of the illegal aliens was unlawfully in the United States and that Henderson should not continue to employ her.
According to that affidavit, Henderson ignored the officers warning and continued to employ the illegal alien for much of the following two years. The affidavit also alleges that in May, one of the illegal aliens agreed to cooperate with investigators of the Office of Professional Responsibility at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Allegedly, while cooperating, the illegal alien told Henderson that she was present in the country unlawfully. Henderson was surreptitiously recorded telling the illegal alien, you have to be careful cause they will deport you. Be careful.
Henderson was also allegedly recorded advising the illegal alien, if you leave they wont let you back . . . you cant leave, dont leave . . . cause once you leave you will never be back.
Bush's fault? Seems to be. Of course she was probably an extension of the Bush border security policy.
And Obamao’s aunt?
This is one of the poison pills mentioned in another posting. Including illegal aliens for govenment insurance would put an end to the bill or guarantee the defeat of several ‘Rats in marginal districts. At the same time, a few far left liberals (like Guiterrez) won’t support a bill which excludes illegal aliens. It’s the same way with a single-payer system.
The liberal base and the American public are so far apart, political reality keeps Pelosi from being able to scrape together enough votes to pass this monstrosity. No one wants to be the next the deciding vote.
That’s like the fox in the hen house.
