From Rachel Maddow's show last night, here's a jaw-dropper from the woman who brought you, "We have to pass the bill, so you can find out what's in it." As I keep saying, the Democratic message mavens are working overtime, apparently to woo the all-important swing vote in Williamsburg to health care:
( Pelosi interview) - "Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance."
If Pelosi wants us to imagine it, let's do it with a few caveats, shall we? If liberal Boomers such as Nancy Pelosi insist on creating government incentives for a generation of people to be unemployed artists who nonetheless have their health care paid for by productive members of society, there will be fewer productive members of society.

No need for artists and intellectuals to contribute to society. The mere presence of their vast intellect and creativity is contribution enough. All of you poor working slobs should be more than willing to support them in the manner befitting their superior position in society. Don’t you stupid people understand this?
Pelosi is insane. Certifiably insane. Is there any way for the House to compel her to be examined for competence? Seriously.
This isn’t about paying for them, but about preexisting conditions.
Shes as big an idiot as you might find.
Pass the bong
Spot on! She’s cuckoo!
Nancy, you stupid bitch, they tried this once. It was called ‘’The Haight-Ashbury’’. Sound familiar? It should. It’s in your district babe. And it didn’t work out. Just like your stupid bill won’t.
I'm an artist who's worked his entire life and pursued his art on the side. It is NOT acceptable to take my money - the money I've earned - and give it to @$%@^ ^@%$@%$ing "artists" who don't want to work.
Pelosi can go to hell.
100% agreement.
I’ve actually forced myself to watch her being interviewed lately. It took a great deal of inner strength but I did it.
She is well beyond insane. She is scary and delusional.
Lord, I’m quitting my day job and picking up my crayons!
Maybe that’s the only way to call their bluff — we ALL should quit our jobs and become “artists”!
There are still lone entrepreneurs who build highly sophisticated electronic instruments that keep our industry rolling, or who do computer programming, or. Well, gazillions of people work for themselves, and this medical insurance plan we call Obamacare does nothing for them, but it does threaten to imprison them.
You noticed that too? LOL!
She should be at the dog track picking up tickets and talking to herself.
She's living in some other reality.
I’ve been thinking the same thing since she became speaker. There IS something very wrong with this woman.
***If liberal Boomers such as Nancy Pelosi insist on creating government incentives for a generation of people to be unemployed artists who nonetheless have their health care paid for by productive members of society, there will be fewer productive members of society.***
Back in the 1930s, an artist could make good money painting cover art for pulp magazines. The FDR admin decided “fine artists” could get government subsidies by NOT having a job but must remain unemployed to do “government work.”
