Barack Obama's offhand approach to Gordon Brown's Washington visit last week came about because the president was facing exhaustion over America's economic crisis and is unable to focus on foreign affairs, the Sunday Telegraph has been told.
Sources close to the White House say Mr Obama and his staff have been "overwhelmed" by the economic meltdown and have voiced concerns that the new president is not getting enough rest.
But Washington figures with access to Mr Obama's inner circle explained the slight by saying that those high up in the administration have had little time to deal with international matters, let alone the diplomatic niceties of the special relationship.
Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president's surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.
A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama's inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to "even fake an interest in foreign policy".
A British official conceded that the furore surrounding the apparent snub to Mr Brown had come as a shock to the White House. "I think it's right to say that their focus is elsewhere, on domestic affairs. A number of our US interlocutors said they couldn't quite understand the British concerns and didn't get what that was all about."
The American source said: "Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.

And also, Gordon Brown is a schmuck.
Every other President we’ve had has been able to handle the duties so why is Obama who is younger than most of the others having a problem with it? Get off your duff you lazy bum or give the job up. I never once heard Bush complain that the job made him tired even during the time 9/11 was a current event. I also don’t remember Clinton complaining that the economy he faced made him tired? If you can’t handle the job step aside.
Ten-foot projectile vomit alert.
Even his homies in Indonesia know he’s a fake.

No! Obama is a Muslim Terrorist assigned and trained to destroy America, just as he and his cousin, Odinga, tried and almost succeeded in destroying KENYA, and forcing it to become a 100% Muslim Dictatorship with only Shria Law! You snub your “BEST ALLY” and then say, “Gosh, I am sorry, I was just exhausted!” But OBOZO had plenty of time to throw huge parties and drink the nights away with Caviar, Booze and lots of Lobster and Wagyu Filet Mignons($200-300 per lb.!) for his political donors, Hollywood Commies, and William Ayers and the SEIU Thugs. Oh WELL!! No wonder they have destroyed his entire History and Life Records! Imagine what they must show!
Isn’t there some provision where a president can be removed for being either physically or mentally incapable of handling the duties of the office?
If so, Obama fits both criterion and should be removed immediately!!!

E V E R!!!
Oh, good grief.
This makes me want to slap someone.
In the words of Nancy Pelosi, “Poor baby, poor baby.”
It’s surprising how often he’s “exhausted”.
He was “exhausted” when he added seven new states to the Union.
He was “exhausted” when he didn’t give the Christmas Day bombing attempt the attention it needed.
He’s “exhausted” now...
Google search, “Obama and exhausted”...

Poor baby.
Been seeing an awful lot of articles about how tired the president is. As a sports fan, I translate that to mean he’s in a full-on meltdown. For instance, when you hear a starting pitcher will miss a start with a “tired arm,” that means the dang thing is about to fall out of its socket.
LOL!!!
