Stupak Slams His Own Democratic Party (Jaw-Dropping Accusation about Mindset of Party of Abortion)
National Review ^ | National Review

Posted on 03/13/2010 7:51:20 AM PST by quesney

Can't believe the National Review buried this nugget in the article. Disturbing, to say the least.

-----

Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days [about the health care plan] have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”

What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak (a pro-Life Democrat opposing the bill) says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”

In the long run, we have to give some support to guys like Stupak. He is in a very bad position in his party. You go against the speaker of the house, and she can make your life miserable.

He may be a socialist progressive liberal, but he is at least taking a moral stand on an issue that is, at least in my mind, primary. Let us hope his actions live up to the words he is speaking. I frankly have a lot more respect for an anti-abortion democrat than I have for any pro-Abortion Republican.

I would vote FOR a pro-life Democrat. I would NEVER vote for a pro-Abortion Republican. NEVER! If you have a pro-life Democrat running against a Pro-Abortion Republican, I am pushing the "D". Yes, this issue is THAT important to me.

“Re-read your history and start with 1938 Germany.”

I would go back earlier, say the late 20’s and include the early struggles for control within the NSDAP. History may have turned out far differently if a different faction had taken control.

Wow—Either Stupak is pulling a collosal stunt or he is taking a genuinely moral stand

It is telling that demrats, in their private discussions, consider population control their primary goal—not a so-called woman’s right to choose.

I always love that bit of BS anyway. What about a woman’s responsibility to not get pregnant if she doesn’t want to participate in the creation of a human baby?

As for population control, at what point will the Marxists decide that any defective unborn baby’s life will be terminated because it costs too much too fix and/or sustain? Remember how shrilly demrats condemned Palin for birthing her Down’s Syndrome child?

The left’s fixation on killing anything it doesn’t like is breathtaking.

So it is cheaper to import Hispanics?

Liberals don't think rationally like we do. It just "feels good". Besides I think they may be thinking globally. They don't see borders in the future.

There can be no mention of anything negative about abortion in the MSM, Hollywood or public education as these are all temples of the Liberal / Progressive religion

Abortion is not a temple, it is a sacrament of the liberal religion. It is the equivalent of confirmation in the Catholic religion.

The Kenyan plans to pay for his communist coup by aborting the baby boomers.

I'm consoling myself with the thought that pretty much everyone who voted for him is going to starve after he kills off all of us who actually know how to produce anything, and the rest are going to learn to sit down and shut up.

Stupak needs to realize his party has become the Statist party. The state always comes first. Individuals are merely resources for the government to exploit for the supposed good of the collective. When the individual is seen as a burden on the collective they become expendable for the good of the collective.

They have attempted to fool their followers into thinking the government will give them "free" health care. The truth is being exposed that sacrifices must be made for the good of the government. The first thing to be sacrificed will be the unborn. The beast will not be sated until all are consumed.

It is the equivalent of confirmation in the Catholic religion.

A little off topic but what exactly is confirmation? I was raised in the Luthern church which is a spinoff of the Catholic church. I remember when I was 13 I was entered into catachism classes. All 13 yr olds in the Luthern church were. We went through a series of Bible classes. I remember a lot of memorizing Bible verses. Then we went through a ceremony in church and took our first communion. But I had no idea what it meant.

If they do that to babies, death panels for old or severely ill people will be no problem.

I have a 30 yr old neice who is mentally challenged (must not say the R word) and an 18 yr old great neice who has cerebral palsey. My sister in law is worried sick about what is going to happen to them if Obama care passes.

“I also read this yesterday, but so far haven’t seen any discussion yet on the story I heard on today’s F&F about the suggestion that we “put down” people as we do our pets and farm animals. I guess that’s going to be the next big push?
___________________________________________________________

So help me God, we must stop this evil in the White House NOW...BEFORE it gets to the “next big push.” We must not accept this line of thinking or casual commentary on this subject...GET ANGRY, GET LOUD AND GET IN THE FACE OF ANYONE WHO CASUALLY DISCUSSES AND/OR ACCEPTS THIS “PUTTING DOWN” OF PEOPLE...WAKE OUP EVERYBODY....THIS IS A REFERENCE TO WHETHER YOU LIVE OR DIE! I WILL FIGHT TO THE DEATH ANY GOVERNMENT THAT THINKS THEY WILL DETERMINE IF AND WHEN I WILL DIE...WHAT WILL YOU DO IF THEY COME FOR YOU?

"What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more."

This silliness comes from the very same people who claim we need the illegal immigrants because we don't have enough workers to do our jobs - although you haven't heard that argument much in the past 12 months or so...
