Sen. John McCain's campaign is calling on his primary challenger to disavow the backing of an anti-illegal immigration group that permits the use of terms such as "wetbacks" and "pepper bellies" derisive epithets sometimes used for immigrants on its website.
"Let's be clear: Congressman [J.D.] Hayworth's continued flirtation with extreme groups that condone racism only opens the door for liberals to falsely paint all opponents of illegal immigration as bigots. Congressman Hayworth should immediately disavow this groups support and commit to never again associating himself with groups that accept this kind of hateful and counterproductive rhetoric," McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers said in a statement Friday.

She has the perfect opportunity to ditch him tactfully RIGHT NOW in view of this latest mental derangement of his. I will be waiting with bated breath.....seriously.
How is opposing the wishes of the majority in this country on the illegal question any different from Obama opposing the will of the majority on the HellCare issue?
Hmmmmmmmm?
Leni
I can’t believe I voted for that douche bag.
Then again I voted for Hillary Clinton in the primaries.
People like this guy have a hell of a lot of nerve. I think people that are here illegally should be booted. They will forever change the political landscape of America.
None of them here illegally know our history and have no appreciation for what is is to be an American.
All they can do is yell “race card” and start the pity party while sucking like leeches off of legal US citizens. The illegals should stay in Mexico and demand that their corrupt government serve their people. Fight for it like our ancestors did.
LOL!
McCain seems to be imploding already
My hands are clean, I didn’t vote for this idiot.
Yeah, and liberal groups shouldn't be allowed to do that - call opponents of amnesty bigots - that's McCain's job!
I smell desperation, I wonder what McCain’s internal polling is telling him? IMHO what his butt-boy Lindsay is doing right now could hurt McCain here in AZ.
“Who knows the truth about what each of these camps did or did not do/say?”
Anyone following the illegal alien issue knows the truth of this. ALIPAC has NEVER been a racist organization. Some of us have followed this for years, know the people. All the spew coming from McCain’s camp is LIES and propaganda. It’s all out there. Check the ALIPAC forums yourself, if you want to know.
We can only hope ( and maybe push him a bit)
I have yet to see any definitive polls other than the Arizona Repugnant online polls........ and trust me the Repugnant will never support JD.
Remember how, during the 2000 presidential campaign, he called Vietnamese “gooks”?
I’ll be glad when he is gone.
Let’s sort it out then. mac is saying that these things make ALIPAC racist and bigoted when the clear explanation is right here.
“ALIPAC organizer William Gheen said the group did not delete the term “Operation Wetback” from postings because it referred to President Dwight Eisenhower’s historical effort to remove a million illegal immigrants from the country in the 1950s.”
“’The term wetback appears on our website as well as 90,300 other sites, according to Google,’ Gheen said. ‘The moderator didn’t remove it because it wasn’t used as a pejorative racial slur. Our moderators do their best to remove any racially insensitive comment but the website is clearly marked as an open-source comment section.’”
It’s the latest iteration of one of McCain’s most consistent messages: that Hayworth, a vocal immigration hawk, holds views that go beyond the conservative mainstream and into the fringe.
****************************
So how do you “misinterpret this crap? It says what it says and mac is a lowlife liar. Period.
And this is the guy we had to vote for for Pres.
Geesh.
OK, but that's no longer the title at the source... It's now "Hayworth ties to ALIPAC questioned."
Your headline is misleading, that’s not what McCain’s guy said.
JD CANNOT win the general in AZ with this kind of rhetoric
Judging that most Arizonans overwhelmingly have voted to limit Illegal Alienism in their state....Hayworth has a great chance of winning the General election.
Only ones who think JD cannot win the General Elec. are those who support Illegal Alien Amnesty and Anti-American Bigotry....supported by Liberals and RINOs
“You have no clue about the hatred some people exhibit toward Mexicans. Yes, there are groups that are over the top.”
Over the top? Like millions of them marching in OUR streets DEMANDING we change our laws to suit them?
Mexicans are the ones displaying the hatred..they physically attack all anti illegal groups protesting, they kill us at the rate of 25 a day.
There have been 3 reports in the 10 years I’ve studied this issue of murders by USA citizens (other than Mexican)of illegal aliens. So, who is the racist??
And MOST of the exploitation/crime against Mexicans in the USA is by other MEXICANS.
Your propaganda doesn’t work anymore, and all the facts prove you wrong.
La RAZA...THE RACE!
The way Mexicans treat Black Americans is the worst. And if you don’t know about that problem, it’s because you don’t want to know. Racism is cultivated in Mexico, NOT in the USA and we don’t need to be importing more of it.
(CNSNews.com) - Nearly 70 percent of Mexicans surveyed said that Mexican-Americans including those born in the United States owe their primary loyalty to Mexico, not the U.S.

I have lived around Mexicans all my life, went to school with them and all learned and were proud to be Americans. But that was a long time ago. This is a new breed, with an agenda driven by White (Pink!) Leftists such as McCain--and it started with his good friend, Ted Kennedy.
BTW, there are other people besides Mexicans who cross the border: Mid-Easterners including Islamo fascists, So & Central Americans, Europeans including Islamic, (some of McCain's good friends are KLA). McCain is beyond shameful.
Juan McCain is disgusting and so are all the RINOs backing him.
