Romney finished second in 2008 and not terribly far from McCain in Florida. If it hadn't been for Crist’s endorsement late in the game, and Crist was popular back then, Romney would probably have won Florida.

Huckabee and Palin splitting the social Conservative vote could easily translate to a Romulan victory.

Every time the U.N. starts one of their flu scares, ten million Americans jam emergency rooms demanding to be inspected and tested for flu. He will be toughest to stop in NH and FLA. The flaw of this poll is that someone else could likely defeat MITTSTER in FLA, but PALIN and HUCK are not strong there.

I've pretty much said the same thing a number of times here on FR and been immediately savaged for it. Politics is sometimes about 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Progress is often made in small implements. I had to hold my nose and vote for John McCain in 2008. I even gave him money. This was painful, but the thought of Obama winning turned my stomach. You are right, there are no perfect candidates. If we could resurrect Thomas Jefferson from the dead and run him again, many here would be savaging him for the Louisiana Purchase.
