Its official now. This explains a lot of whats happened recently. Rupert Murdoch is moving his NewsCorp headquarters to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. You can kiss fair and balanced FoxNews good-bye.
Breitbart has the story here:
News Corp chief Rupert Murdoch announced on Tuesday that the Gulf emirate of Abu Dhabi is to become the headquarters of his global media empire in the Middle East.
Addressing some 400 delegates at the opening of the Abu Dhabi Media Summit, Murdoch said his corporation had started out as a small Australian firm to become a US-based international company that employs 64,000 people.
I have every confidence that Arab companies can do the same and more. I also believe that Abu Dhabi can lead the way. Murdoch said News Corp would headquarter its Middle Eastern global online advertising operations in Abu Dhabi, and move a number of satellite television channels to the capital of the United Arab Emirates from Hong Kong.
We will (also) establish a production office here for one of our documentary film-making companies, he said.
When we look to the future, News Corporation is betting on the creative potential of the more than 335 million people who make up the Arab world, he added.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi government, the three-day summit is expected to address the potential of the emerging media markets in the Middle East, India and China.
Mohammed Khalaf al-Mazruei, who heads the Abu Dhabi Media Company, told delegates that the Middle East is experiencing radical change, and that its media should accompany this revolution.
News Corp has already established strong links with the region, last month agreeing to invest 70 million dollars in the Rotana Group, which is controlled by Saudi tycoon Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, after buying a 9.0 percent stake in the firm.
Alwaleeds Kingdom holding company also owns around 7.0 percent of News Corps class B common stock.
How comforting that is for all of us who once looked to FoxNews as the last bastion of conservative television news and comment.
I can't imagine where we would be without FOX News.
Little more than that wrong with the story. From what I read Murdock bought into their news service not the other way around?
This is an inaccurate headline. You ought to ask for it to be removed or altered, at least parentheticaly.
Bottom line. Thanks to public “education” NO ONE seems to be able to read anymore.
But at least freepers are pissed off about it.
And will the more conservative stance of FOX nEWS till prevail? Or will more and more of the pro-Islam view creep in?
Please tell me where I am incorrect?
Heres the scorecard. If you are not a certified 100% Bible thumping conservative, you dont get a good rating.
Rush: Good, Hannity: Good, OReilly: Bad, Beck: Bad, Savage: Bad, Levine: Bad.
Headline is too absurdly misleading to even bother to correct it.
Weird out of nowhere you bring up those names and attack Christians and Christianity, and then repeat it.
You know that you are on a conservative site don't you, a very God friendly conservative site which is redundant of course, you seem to have issues as kind of an outsider, but you should learn to keep it to yourself.
Don’t blame him. Probably much better on taxes.
The sky is not falling. Fox News is but a small part of the whole.
He will grow elsewhere using his expanded capabilities. Think of a very big world
LOL! If one is not a radical fundamentalist, one is not a true Christian. Jesus was radical at the time He was on earth. To me radical means to be a purist. The word has gotten a bad name because the left has been named radical, and they are, in the opposite way Jesus Christ is radical. So, intentional or not, you were slamming Christians.
That was my point.
Why should he have any loyalty to this country? It has confiscatory taxes now, just wait in 2 years. Go Murdoch. This country’s govt sucks and the sooner that the sheeple wake up the better, when their gubmint checks bounce. I hope all the rich wake up and leave this nightmare.
Ummm. The company’s not moving to Abu Dhabi, it’s just opening a branch there.
Well...Bye
Almost no one reads the article anymore do they? I’ve done it too, but this headline practically begs for the reader to do his or her due diligence rather than run in circles with their hair on fire screeching that the END IS NEAR!
Everything I said is still true. He has no loyalty to this country, although it has allowed him to become one of the wealthiest men in the world.
IIRC, he already WAS one of the richest men in the world from European operations (Sky channel, anyone?) before he ever set foot on the NA continent. He supplied a product that had basically half the consuming populace to itself because everyone else was fighting over the other half. That made him a ton of money.
But, the article still only means that News Corp Middle East Operations will now be run....in the Middle East, ok?
