That’s right. If the House passes the Senate bill with no changes, there is no reconciliation. After signature, the Senate bill will become the law-of-the-land.
House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.
Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.
You know, we laugh at Byrd and poke fun at him, and I have not agreed with him on many things, BUT I have always respected his respect of the Constitution.

The House must accept and pass the Senate version without change for that to happen.
Except when it got in the way of the Rats agenda.
And some trickery is in play to coerce stray Dems to sign onto the existing Senate bill with the ‘promise’ the contentious issues will magically go away, right?
