A report by the human rights watchdog of the Organization of American States warns of a possible “threat to the life and physical integrity of the Jewish community in Venezuela” due to the Chavez regime’s violations of the political and human rights of its citizens.

In a lengthy report publicized in late February, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) accused the government of Venezuela of fostering an atmosphere of “political intolerance” and “a climate hostile to the free exercise of dissenting political participation.”

It blasted the prevailing “citizen insecurity” in the country and saved its harshest criticism for “the prevailing impunity affecting cases ofhuman rights violations,” including in cases of police misconduct, abuse of authority, and even torture.

No way! Can’t be!!! Sean Penn says people who say Chavez is a dictator should be put in jail for telling such lies.

These b*stards spare no country nor time in history to pursue their eternal enemies, those dreaded 'Joooos'.

As a psychic in these matters, I forsee a very important interview in their future......an interview with a VERY bad outcome guaranteed for them. (Actually I'm not a psychic...I cheated and read the Holy Bible)

77% of American Jews voted for Zer0 (and a lot of those who didn’t hang out at FR). 75% of American Jewish expats in Israel voted for McCain.

I don’t understand. If I were Jewish, I would shy away from liberals and their psuedo-Marxism. Of course, I’m Catholic and can’t understand why many Catholics would vote for them either but I can guess there are a variety of reasons.

Will the hypocrutical Amnestry International speak up for Jews when they’re in danger? They’ve been shamefully silent about the violence against Israelis.

McCain won 78% of the Orthodox vote to Obama’s 13%. This clearly shows that for the true Jewish followers things like Israel and abortion do matter. It is the conservative and reform movements that have gone liberal.

It is kinda weird. It’s no secret that, statistically speaking, Jews do better for themselves financially than many other groups. You would at least think they’d realize that class warfare rhetoric will only end up hurting themselves.

Of course then, it’s no different from Trotsky wondering why the majority of Marxists were made up of spoiled bourgeoisie kids who had the most too lose by their vaunted political affiliations.

I have to say as my own opinion, formed from working with younger people who grew up a lot better off than I did, that a lot of it has to do with wanting to belong.

They want to be in control of something because they think they know better than anybody else what needs to be done.

They get this from their teachers and professors who tell them that America sucks and there's nothing great about this country and capitalism and our whole way of life needs to be snuffed out.

I think they believe that if they support people like Obama(who clearly feels the same way) after the dust settles and us trouble making right wing extremists are safely in our camps that they will have a position of power.

They don't realize that the crappy job they have now will be 1000% worse when 'they' have control of everything because all the people really qualified to lead and manage have been replaced with friends of the people they helped get elected.....hey kinda like the way things are now.

Socialism rears it’s ugly head once again, and people are going to suffer for it. When will people understand that Socialism is corrupt in it’s very philosophy and cannot be a good form of governance even when seemingly benevolent.
