Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) says the House ethics committee is investigating him for inappropriate comments he made to a male staffer on New Year's Eve — and that he's the victim of a power play by Democratic leaders who want him out of Congress because he's a "no" vote on health care reform.
"Mine is now the deciding vote on the health care bill," Massa, who on Friday announced his intention to resign, said during a long monologue on radio station WKPQ. "And this administration and this House leadership have said, quote-unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. You connect the dots."
Massa insisted that he did not know the basis of a House ethics committee investigation into his conduct until after he announced his retirement last Wednesday, and he took House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) to task for going public with information related to the probe before it is completed.
In the monologue — an audio recording of which has been posted by Rochester's WHAM-TV — Massa said he first heard that the ethics committee was questioning his staff in early February but had no idea why.
He said he now understands the basis of the committee's investigation — and dismissed it as a matter of "political correctness" gone awry.

Massa also described a profanity-filled conversation he had with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel after he voted against the president’s health care legislation last year. Massa called on Emanuel to resign for his own use of profane language during the phone call.
“Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil’s spawn,” Massa added. “He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive.”
So, this hurts us on the next vote. Right?

Axelrod: ‘I don’t give a flying…’

David Axelrod, President Barack Obama’s image manager, says he doesn’t give a “flying f*ck” what critics say about the White House and its failures but while Axelrod puts forward a defiant face, others say the level of concern is rising over the administration’s failure to stay on message.
Dems are pure evil and repubs are pure stupid.
Sounds like a lot of BS to me. If he had any balls he would stick around for a couple of weeks and vote no just to shove it up there a#@. Besides, his leaving may put one less vote on the no side of the isle but it doesn’t add on to the yes side.
Well, there’s one thing, no TWO things I agree with Massa on, No on Health Care and Rahm is the spawn of the devil.
If I remember from his comments in NY. He has had three bouts with cancer. The most recent in December.
He won in a heavily red district.
What’s in it for him to take on a losing fight under these circumstances.

Beck says he's going to have Massa on his show tonight to let him have his say. Anything that exposes Rahm for the thug he is, and derails 0bama's agenda, I'm all for.
If what he did with the staff member is what he’s saying then that’s hardly a sexual advance.
I think the fact that they don’t give a “flying ___” is their message and more and more are receiving it loud and clear.
Obama surrounds himself with tax cheats, foul talkers, communists, racists, terrorist, et al. How is it people can think Obama is “different” than these people?
