The change will be phased in over time to include enlisted female Sailors on the SSBN and SSGNs, he said. I don’t support mixed-sex crews on submarines but I am wondering about all-women sub crews? Has any navy, including our own, ever tried that? If so how well did it work out (or not)?

Saw the answer to my own question! My Dad was the naval technical director on that movie! Cary Grant was so professional. He came to my Dad for inspection every day they were shooting. Wanted his uniform just so and his acting consistent with what a good sub commander would exhibit.
