The view from across the pond of Mitt's underwhelming debut and an honest appraisal of his lack of political skills. If even Letterman yawns, The Mittster is in tough shape.

I thought the juxtapostion in the article of the answers about the two father spoke volumes. Palin's was a redblooded American response and funny to boot. Romney's was canned and predictable, repeating a few cliches he had memorized about integrity. What a loser.

I wouldn’t be too sure. I think Americans have had their fill of amateurs and Romney’s not an amateur although he’s probably no great stand up comic. Palin is widely viewed as unqualified. Personally, I’m not impressed with either one. I’m hoping for a conservative candidate with experience AND charisma. Don’t ask me who that is. I’ll know him/her when I see them.

Maybe we should let the Euro weenies pick all of our Presidents , they did such a cracker-jack job selling Obama as the anti-Bush .

“I need to get better material,” he quipped.

I suppose Myth could always start with actual conservatism.

Palin’s song: You make me feel like a natural woman.
Romney’s song: Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto

"When Letterman asked about his late father, a former head of American Motors and governor of Michigan, Romney went into a long ramble about his 'character and integrity'."

Back when his father was running for president, he accused the military advisors of "brain washing" him on the Vietnam war. The Pentagon's reply was simply "We did what we could with what little we had to work with."

If we were running a hedge fund and trying to max out our income by selling off various groups of states to other countries, Mitt would be our man.

The fact is that the next President is going to need a lot of courage to get the country out of the hole Barack Obama is digging. It's going to mean reducing spending in every way possible, cutting programs, fighting an overpaid federal bureaucracy and making some unpopular decisions. Can anyone name time Mitt Romney has ever done anything courageous in his entire life?

Among potential candidates, I see only three that have this kind of courage: Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and Mike Pence.

Not only does Governor Palin outshine the Mitter as a talk show guest, but her history of achievement far outshines that of governor Romney’s. No matter how you look at it, she is refreshing and right. He is a bore and left of center.

I saw that. Her audience went through the roof with that answer. It illustrates so perfectly why she makes the 'rat scum's heads explode, and why they can't lay a finger on her, now that she is out from under the blight of the McCain traitors--Romney is the usual manufactured product. Palin is authentic.

When I think of Romney I think back to the GOP debate in Iowa. The famous “Show of Hands” question. What an embarrassment.

Moderator Question, “Show of hands if you think Climate Change is a serious threat and caused by human activity?”
Watch Romney, McCain, Rudy, and it looks like Huckabee all raise their hands before Fred Thompson saves their butts wit the we are playing hands here, response.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAYtC_jcK1U

I tried to like Romney, I really did, but if you closed your eyes during those debates and just listened to the answers he gave , they were just awful. He was not winning me over, or anyone else.

America will never elect a fatcat CEO like Mitt in this environment. Wall Street and DC have the same anger directed at them form the same people. Crony capitalism has destroyed Mitt's chances.
