Already, the media has jumped on the John Patrick Bedell story, claiming that he was a raving right winger with virulent antigovernment feelings, as the Christian Science Monitor puts it. And, just as they did with the Joseph Stack case, theyre ignoring the evidence in order to come to that conclusion.
John Patrick Bedell, whom authorities identified as the gunman in the Pentagon shooting on Thursday, appears to have been a right-wing extremist with virulent antigovernment feelings.
If so, that would make the Pentagon shooting the second violent extremist attack on a federal building within the past month. On Feb. 18, Joseph Stack flew a small aircraft into an IRS building in Austin, Texas. Mr. Stack left behind a disjointed screed in which, among other things, he expressed his hatred of the government.
If so Thats a pretty big if.
Lets start by noting that Bedell was a registered Democrat. The media has completely and conveniently ignored that little fact.
Theyve also ignored that he was anti-military; he believed the military murdered Marine Colonel James Sabow. This is a conspiracy theory popular among left-wingers, who believe that Sabow, whose death was ruled a suicide by official investigators, was killed because he knew too much about drug- and weapons-smuggling activities at his military base.

Earlier on a thread, we found his Wikipedia user page and looking at his history of changes (a lot was vandalism) it was obvious he was a crude, leftist, SOB who really hated Bush and Cheney. He vandalized Cheney’s page on a couple of occasions with some nasty comments.
He was a registered Democrat and a Bush hater.
A lot in common with the IRS plane crasher apparently.
Who is it that is believing them? Why even bother taking on such a stupid accusation?
Lumping Ron Paul in with this loony is scurrilous as well.
Mr. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle. Mr. Kettle, meet Mr. Pot.
Michelle Malkin’s site has information showing him as a registered Rat.
I think I understand their “template”, or at least where they are coming from.
Here’s the prism through which they view these things:
Collectivist leftists NEVER act on their own as individuals, only “right wingers” do that. Lefties always delegate their dirty work to “the government” to do it collectively so that they won’t have to take responsibility for the action.
Hence, anyone acting on their own must be a “conservative right winger”.
Sounds like a stretch to me.
Well occasionally they organise the community instead.
The MSM doesn’t care how liberal they are, they are labeled as right-wing nuts. lol.
I guess they don’t believe that left-wingnuts can have ‘anti-government’ feelings.
