Despite steep odds, the White House has discussed prospects for reviving a major overhaul of the nation's immigration laws, a commitment that President Obama has postponed once already. Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections. In the session, Obama and members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to resuscitate the effort in a White House meeting with two senators -- Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina -- who have spent months trying to craft a bill. According to a person familiar with the meeting, the White House may ask Schumer and Graham to at least produce a blueprint that could be turned into legislative language. The basis of a bill would include a path toward citizenship for the 10.8 million people living in the U.S. illegally. Citizenship would not be granted lightly, the White House said. Undocumented workers would need to register, pay taxes and pay a penalty for violating the law. Failure to comply might result in deportation.

ObamaCare + Amnesty = Democratic Votes
If ObamaCare falls apart, so does the rest of the equation.
He can’t pass anything. That will go over huge with unemployment at record levels.
Any fool knew this was coming. This is one of the main reasons Obama is so rabid about passing the big health care giveaway to illegals. Buying votes. People must learn that none of this is about health care for the people — it is about POWER AND CONTROL for Obama.
How can anything that REWARDS people for breaking the law be called (with any level of ethical or logical foundation) - “reform”?
I wonder if the Dims are going to go for the third and forth planks of their plan soon?
1. Gun Control (New AWB, HR45, ect)
2. Disarmament and reductions of the military
From Rasmussen:
As the country wrestles with a future of historic-level deficits, 67% of U.S. voters say that illegal immigrants are a significant strain on the U.S. budget.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 23% disagree and do not believe illegal immigration is a strain on the budget.
Two-out-of-three (66%) voters say the availability of government money and services draw illegal immigrants to the United States. Nineteen percent (19%) think otherwise and do not believe government money and services are a magnet for illegal immigration. Another 15% are not sure
Right you are!!!!
Somebody PLEASE explain this equation to Orrin Hatch.
I heard on FOX News today that one of the Dems who is trending against the vote has a brother up for appointment to the Federal Bench.
FOX said that Orrin Hatch has no problem with the appointment and Obama’s albino mouthpiece said so also, so I guess the guy is from Orrin Hatch’s state - Utah.
Hatch always was a goofy sort of jerk so it doesn’t surprise me he would do something this incredibly stupid.
He SHOULD block the guy’s appointment instead of helping Obama with his political machinations.

Twelve million new enslaved, uneducated, welfare Democrats is just too big a prize to abandon.
Equally interesting that he has Gomer Pyle from South Carolina in on the scheme.
After all, Pyle’s Maxi-Me, Juan McCainez is running in a primary in Arizona and has to pretend he is a real Republican right now, so he sent his Mini-Me Lindsey Graham (Gomer Pyle) to front for him on this.
Probably closer to the true goal.
“in a White House meeting with two senators — Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina — who have spent months trying to craft a bill.”
I’m sure McCain is lurking in the background waiting for this one. He and Lindsey don’t care what the citizens of this country want. Every poll disagrees with a ‘path to citizenship’ for illegal aliens.
Even progressives want the insanity stopped.

Obama doesn’t breathe life into anything. He sucks it out.
“.Undocumented workers would need to register, pay taxes and pay a penalty for violating the law. Failure to comply might result in deportation.”
Isn’t that special?? Might result in deportation....
All this amounts to is an invitation to any foreigner to come on in and we will never do anything about it. If this is like the last McCain amnesty, taxes will be waived, the fee will be waived and the doors will be wide open.
This was the plan all along. Illegals get free healthcare. It will overwhelm us financially , ration care for all and change the country forever (aka, transform)
he knows the clock is ticking....jam through as much Socialism as you can in the few months you have left
“He cant pass anything”.....
He seems to be passing verbal gas just fine.....
