TUCSON - J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman and conservative AM radio host, nearly lost his voice this week delivering fiery attacks on John McCain, the Republican 2008 presidential nominee whom Hayworth accuses of betraying his party and getting too cozy with East Coast liberals. The four-term senator, says Hayworth, "is not the John McCain we knew."
Hayworths assault from the right in a GOP primary has forced McCain to launch an early, aggressive defense of his seat. And today, McCain will attempt to enhance his conservative bona fides by hosting the partys new darling, US Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, on an Arizona campaign swing.
(snip)
While Brown could help traditional conservatives rally around McCain, he also risks antagonizing Tea Party voters around the country who poured money into his surprise Massachusetts election and are fed up with the status quo.
(snip)
Hayworth is providing McCain with the strongest primary challenge since he first won the seat in 1986, but McCain had $5 million in his campaign account and another $22 million he may be able to use from his presidential campaign, according to year-end campaign finance reports. Hayworth, who formally launched his campaign less than three weeks ago, has not yet had to file a campaign finance report, but is trying to raise $1 million this month.
Its a strange time and theres a lot of anti-incumbent feeling across the country. Anyone has to take every race seriously. John is certainly doing that, and, consequently, I think hell be fine," said Grant Woods, former Arizona attorney general, who was McCains first chief of staff and remains close to the senator. His other big advantage is Hayworth is a buffoon in my opinion."

“I really do think hes a got some form of Stockholm Syndrome - kisses up to his captors while betraying his own.”
I’ve heard rumors the he threw some of his fellow POW’s under the bus at the Hanoi Hilton. It wouldn’t suprise me a bit...the amoral slimeball.
So is J.D. Hayworth.
Scott Brown is a liberal, and that will be his voting record on a great many things.

“The most recent online scores from the American Conservative Union are from 2008. In that year, John McCain scored 63 and had a lifetime average of 81.43. ... Hayworth’s last full year in Congress was 2006. His 2006 ACU score was 96, his 2005 score was 100, and his lifetime average was 97.56.” [Top 4%] [American Thinker]

Scalawag, hooligan, buffoon ..... lessee, Sarah is a s/h/b, Ronnie Reagan was a s/h/b .... before that, Bob Taft was a s/h/b as was Barry Goldwater (did you know Barry Goldwater wanted to blow up the world? Really! LBJ told us so ...).
Yeah, unless you've got a yacht docked on Long Island Sound somewhere, or a permanent dinner invitation from the Kennedys, or you're on warm personal relations with John "Winter Soldier"/Traitor Skerry, you're just a scalawag, hooligan, and buffoon.
Dumbass American people. What do they know anyway?
Pass the creme brulee, please.
Then there's the time he and Skerry, the traitor, teamed up to suck up to the Hanoi Politburo ..... "normalization of trade relations" to benefit a bunch of moneybags businessmen .....
Then there are all the "walking K's" that he helped sweep under the rug. Actor Bill Shatner is a horrible prima donna and supersized ego, but at least he tried to do something about it ..... and the Government stepped on him ..... and he's Canadian fer God's sake!
I have a POW/MIA flag, and that's what I fly on Memorial Day.
That's the best political analysis I've read in the past year.
McCain is flooding, and I do mean flooding, the Arizona airwaves with ads attacking JD. They are like McCain himself, mean and nasty. Fortunately, they are so bad the effort appears to be money wasted.
HE’S A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT...
HE’S A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT...
Well, the fact that he still had 22 mil left over from the presidential run proves what we’ve been saying all along. He lost on purpose.
McSocialist calling JD a “baffoon” - isn’t that like a DC liberal calling conservatives like Sarah stupid? McLame is pantsing himself. Hope JD uses it against him.
Also, isn’t the eldery one complaining that he was tricked into supporting the bank bailout? Also, he’s been tricked by the global warmers. Sounds like a baffoon to me.
I don’t want my money back from McCain, I want him to send it to JD’s campaign! Well, maybe half to JD and the other half to Jesse Kelly in AZ CD8.
....Holding my breath until this happens.
Well he “hot started” his jet to eff with the pilot behind him, set off ordinance, and damn near sank the carrier in the subsequent fire. If his daddy hadn’t been running the Navy, he’d have been court marshalled. He was assigned to a different carrier because his fellow pilots were gonna kill him.

Worth repeating.
“He’s a big disappointment...”
If you’re referring to Scott Brown, my answer is “Not so much.” For McCain, the answer is different - he’s been a disappointment since before the first time he ran for office in Arizona.
Be careful with that stuff. If you get Type II, there will be no insurance for you.
