““The most recent online scores from the American Conservative Union are from 2008. In that year, John McCain scored 63 and had a lifetime average of 81.43. ... Hayworth’s last full year in Congress was 2006. His 2006 ACU score was 96, his 2005 score was 100, and his lifetime average was 97.56.” [Top 4%] [American Thinker]”

Worth repeating.

““Grant Woods, former Arizona attorney general, who was McCain’s first chief of staff and remains close to the senator. “His other big advantage is Hayworth is a buffoon in my opinion.””

This Grant Woods guy is a real piece of work! He’s a longtime McCain lackey and his current business is being financed by Cindy McCain! And like his old boss, McCain, Woods also has thought of switching to the democrat party.

“”It’s the party of Lincoln,” Woods said. “But I don’t know that Lincoln would recognize it. I’m trying to remember why I became a Republican in the first place.......As for Woods’ political ambitions, he said he’s interested in running for the U.S. Senate, but only if Sen. John McCain, his political mentor, retires in 2004.

“Any opportunities I’ve had in politics have been because of him,” Woods said”

“Woods, of course, is famously well-connected. Not only was he elected attorney general back in the 90s, but he’s since represented all sorts of interesting people in his private practice, from Sonia Falcone, socialite and wife of an alleged international arms dealer, to (for a time) disgraced then-Congressman Rick Renzi.

So we’re not the least bit surprised that Woods’ Podcast show boasts guests ranging from Charles Barkley to John McCain. Nor were we surprised to see that the Web site is currently sponsored by Budweiser — Cindy McCain, of course, being the owner of the area’s biggest Bud distributorship.”
