As long as he is not attending one of these opportunist groups that have popped up.
There are too many carpet baggers in florida looking to take the name “freedom rally” in the name of making a dollar.
A lot of people didn’t know he was here... without going into any specifics, let’s just say the event was not well-publicized and turnout was rather light.
The Volusia County 9-12 Project has been around for a while - the event organizer, Rhonda Welsch, did a pretty good job putting things together, but the publicity seemed to be a little lacking, IMHO.
That’s too bad. I’ve never heard him speak and I would have liked to do so. Most of the local press is very left leaning, however, and a number of our local papers (even in small towns) are “New York Times papers.”
The “Freedom Rally” is in Tallahassee every year during the legislative session. It involves a rally at the Capitol steps and ride to the steps. It has never been during bikeweek.
Something is not right here.

I agree, but I thought it was only a candidate’s forum and not a TEA Party or freedom rally. I think if the bikers knew that, there would have been a ton of them there. Col. West’s speech was FANTASTIC. We need to get this man elected!
There is a woman going around trying to portray herself as a tea party biker type. (failed biker magazine, sought the collaboration from the local state motorcyclists, etc)
She rented teh warehouse across the way from the volusa country fairgrounds. Could not find her under any corporation in FL except for two inactive corporations from 2001 and 2002.
I am hoping this is not that carpet bagger.
not if it was a local carpet bagger looking to profit from the movement. The word was out to stay away from that woman.
It was great to see you at the Freedom Rally! And I certainly agree we need to get Allen elected! We Florida patriots will elect Marco Rubio to the US Senate and I hope all of the following candidates to the US House!

It was a LOT lacking. But, we had a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Lt. Col. West. Quite a gentleman and one of my heroes!
James and I sure did have a great time! We always find ourselves in the best of compny!
