“Lots of good old down home humor came from Abe.”
That’s right. Abe loved hearing homely, humerous anecdotes almost as much as telling them. His laugh was described as a high-pitched `Hee hee hee!’ He had a good sense of humor. Seward and others in is cabinet looked down their noses at it, `eff `em if they can’t take a joke. Then and now.
You know, she didn't just do the stand up, she did answer his questions in two segments, introducing her politics in a compelling and fairly natural way.
One of her many strengths. She did it well. And you two prune faces act like the two old fogeys in the muppet gallery sniping at her.
Congrats.
So, who is this “shark” you’re going to stand behind, if not her?
No you're right. Just because she can't pen her own autobiography is no reason to believe she couldn't write a few jokes. I stand corrected.
I hear after her performance, she healed the sick and turned water into wine.
Bill Clinton NEEDED to look like he had an entertaining or engaging side. His Arsenio appearance was after he spoke for what seemed like a month at the DNC convention in '88. He was boring and showed virtually no charisma. That late-show appearance was precisely what he needed.
No one outside of Palin's groupy-like-cult thinks she's a serious person. In other words, she needs to stay off of The Tonight Show, The O'Brien Show and the Oprah Show and start demonstrate her intellectual bona fides to the people who are convinced she's a light-weight, which is not an insignificant number of people.
Introduce yourself to them? What planet have you been on?
People in the middle and people on the left all know Sarah Palin. No introductions necessary. And, they've already formed an opinion. That opinion isn't improved with appearances on late-night talk shows.
Stay off Leno, and shoot for Charlie Rose.
If we had the same media back in the 1860’s You can bet Abe would have been wowing them with his wit and humor.

She's doing a fairly good job at that. You have a problem with that for some reason?
You make that sound like it's a quantitative statement, and not just your opinion. Do you have any polling data to back that claim up.
From EVERYTHING I've seen, she's been tumbling downward. If you have contrary information, please post it. Otherwise, yours is but another posting of Sarah-love from a Sarah sycophant.
Okay, now that I've chanted a few times, let's talk.
For you, maybe I'll even forget the /sarcasm.
There's been one outlier poll published by the WaPo that shows her going down (I'm sure you want to post that). It's been desconstructed many times, oversampling democrats 2-1 a prime problem.
So, go ahead and post your polls about how she's going down, but you know that one is a fraud, so please show us the others oh wise one.
Where are the rest?
Nice change of the subject.
Read ANY biography of Lincoln, and they'll say the same thing. Or just do a Google search on "Abe Lincolns Humor", to see any one of hundreds of links. This is a key fact about Lincoln's personality. Lincoln LOVED to be the center of attention in a crowd, telling jokes and stories....which is, as I said, the day's equivalent of "stand up humor".
>>I have no problem with her personally or politically for that matter. I’m just saying if she is the GOP nominee then zero wins reelection easily.
Before Palin was announced as McCain’s running mate, he was down 10 points to Obama. A week after her announcement, McCain was even. Just invoking the mystical gods of logic here.
“Stay off Leno, and shoot for Charlie Rose.”
Who is the world watches Charlie Rose? Who beside far left loons watch PBS?
The longer this thread lasts, the less sense your argument makes.
I think I just urinated in my pants...
Please read this thread, and get back to me...
Don’t lay odds on that.
Do you have anything to base THAT on or are you STILL talking out of your ....um....hat?
PDS is a terrible disease.
