On Wednesday's Morning Joe on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough pointed out the cover of the latest edition of Newsweek magazine, which proclaimed "Victory At Last; The Emergence of A Democratic Iraq" and featured a picture of President George W. Bush walking the deck of an aircraft carrier. However, the image of Newsweek that appeared on screen cropped out President Bush's face entirely.
The magazine cover showed Bush on the deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln in 2003, after making his "Mission Accomplished" speech following the successful invasion of Iraq. While Newsweek cropped the picture to include half of Bush's body and face, MSNBC further cropped the image to leave only the arm of the former president visible.
Newsweek is a dying publication and MSNBC is a dying cable TV network. They'll both go down to their respective graves flying the leftist banner and telling themselves that their demise was the result of a diabolical right-wing plot, likely engineered by Dick Cheney or Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin or....somebody.
Their absence won't be missed.
President Bush is crazy if he let’s this stand. He took all the heat and all the hate. This is his victory not the kenyan’s.
Oh niiiiiiiiiiiiice of them........losers!
Good grief, what a wasted post.
So, between Newsweek and MSNBC, something like twelve people saw this picture?
Why does anybody care? If you watch or subscribe to these outlets, you pretty much don’t want to be exposed to the real world. Let them live in their bubble.
What is it with the commies, always needing to airbrush history?
Communism (or any despotism, really) relies on a cult of personality.
No one came before or after Obama, etc.
Truth is pure water
That can wash away the lies
That tyrants obscure.
Ping!
Frank, isn’t this the show that Pedro Picasso watches every morning? Or is it some other primitive?
Anyway, I suspect MSNBC doesn’t want to lose one of their most reliable viewers.
Most excellent, sir...
You see how hard it is to
Count while you’re typing...
Yes I know it is spelled chronicle I just like to spell it comical!
I noticed that when I found one in the trash at the doctor's office. I have no idea how it got there either. /s
