After just one term in Congress, Rep. Eric Massa, D-N.Y., has reportedly decided against running for reelection.
Massa is slated to hold a conference call with reporters to talk about the decision later Wednesday afternoon, but early reports suggest it could be health related. In the 1990's, while serving as special assistant to Gen. Wes Clark, then supreme allied commander of NATO, Massa was diagnosed with terminal cancer; after treatment, however, the cancer was reportedly in remission. However, the New York Daily News has unnamed "sources close to the congressman" talking about a possible ethics investigation.
Not a good district from which one would be happily outed as a buggerer.
He sexually harassed a male staffer.
Indeed...I heard he tried to ram a bill through, but the aide stopped it.
It wasn't exactly the dust he's been biting.
Eric Massa to retire amid allegations he sexually harassed a male staffer
Indeed...I heard he tried to ram a bill through, but the aide stopped it.
No, it’s he tried to ram Bill, but Bill wouldn’t allow it.
I just looked at HuffPo. This isn’t mentioned ANYWHERE on the front page - LOL.
He was cooked anyway. in 2008 he squeezed through a narrow victory on Obama’s coattails in a District that has always gone Republican.
This district should be a Republican lay-up in Nov.
I’m sure the whole experience left a bad taste in his mouth.
20 year Navy veteran, married, two kids....how’s that “don’t ask don’t tell” working NOW..eh?
If this was a Republican, the networks would break into programming to announce it.
gee a gay staffer on Wesley Clarke’s staff.... how odd? bwahahahahaha.
So the aide didn't ask, but he told...
I doubt that the house has enough votes to pass the health care murtha literlly bit the dust, now this guy.. and the one republican, is not going to vote for it.. it only passed by 3 votes.. soooo this could get interesting
He might not be out of work for long - I hear Barney Frank has an opening.
he’s retiring to Fire Island.
What does this have to do with his ethics violation? Nothing. The MSM is just trying to get some sympathy for the didler.
Isn't that the problem?
