The Hawaii Department of Health claims to have an original copy of Barack Obama's birth certificate, right?
In fact, it is this established "fact" that has persuaded so many people there is nothing to the question of eligibility.
After all, an official in Hawaii has made a public pronouncement that she has inspected the document and declared on her own authority that Obama is a "natural born American" and thus eligible to serve as president.
For many Americans, that settles the question.
However, now a new version of the story is emerging.
The United Kingdom's Sky News reported Saturday: "Authorities in Hawaii have provided an electronic record of Obama's birth because the paper copy was destroyed in a fire which wiped out much of the state's archives."
Which is it?
Does Hawaii actually have an original long-form, paper birth certificate for Obama, or was it destroyed in a fire?
It seems the story is ever-changing.
And that's why it's time for Obama to come clean.
There is little question the heavily Democratic state of Hawaii has no interest in providing any information that would disqualify the first president claiming to be from that state.
If indeed the state has a copy of the original birth certificate, as Director of Health Dr. Chiyome Fukino claims, it should be no problem for Obama to give her permission to release it publicly – and, once and for all, settle the controversy that has resulted in that state being inundated with inquiries from curious American citizens.

Airline passenger manifests from 1961? I doubt they exist. How would you know which airline, and just think of how many flights you'd have to check.
Besides, it doesn't matter. If BHO Sr is the father of record, he is not a Natural Born Citizen, even if he popped out on the beach at Waikiki, or on a surfboard on the North Shore.
Only if you can also prove he was born on Aug. 4, 1961.
Also you would have to prove Stanley was the mother. His grandmother could have been his mother.

Authorities — that’s the same as saying, “anonymous sources/source”.
It could be ‘fubar’, but do you know of any other ‘fubar’ report where WND falsely quoted ‘authorities’ or an anonymous source? They’ve been on the web for a long time. The only “mistake” I’ve personally ever seen is them reporting on foreign superstitious beliefs.

They apparently have an anonymous source. This, BTW, is a quote of sky news. So it’s not even up to WND. They simply quoted another source.

That’s an interesting way of looking at it and worthy of a thoughtful response.
I think the truth is more complicated. First off, the CIA is infiltrated with rats. If you read “American Spy”, you’ll learn how the CIA was skapegoated and neutered after the Pay of Pigs.
That’s probably why Porter Goss had to leave, and why Joe Wilson was able to make so much hay with his tea-sipping investigation of yellow cake. [Amazing how a cup of tea can expose every potential purchase for a hundred miles.]
Regulations hobble law abiding conservatives, but rats are above the law. Pretty sick in every federal agency.
Defectors from foreign countries even tried to bypass the CIA.
We would be more likely to learn something from a Lensner or Craig Livingston than from the CIA.
The KGB is not our friend. I would imagine they adore Putin like most of Russia. And as for the Mossad, they are overworked and probably hobbled by the left wingers in Israel.
Brit papers are exposing more scandals than the US papers because some of them have ties to the Mossad, and perhaps MI6 is more truth-oriented than other agencies. God bless the makers of James Bond films.

Regarding the tie between the Sloppy Sock Bandit and Lanny Breuer, a quick browse of google did nothing to make this more clear than what you wrote.
Please let me see if I get this straight:
1. Samuel “Sandy” Berger hired Covington & Burling.
2. Lanny Breuer represented the US Justice Department during the Bush administration.
3. Lanny Breuer failed to prosecute vigorously and then praised Covington & Burling, saying that white collar criminals began saying that they “want a Berger”. [What a toady thing to say!]
4. Lanny Breuer is then rewarded [apparently quid pro quo] with an office in Covington & Burling.
Does that sum it up? Missing anything?
The Clintons had a famous fire that burned up a ton of Whitewater papers. On the other hand, fires do happen. I am “certain” that if there was indeed a fire, then Obama will do his “level best” to compensate for that failing and release medical records, visas, school records, etc.

If there was a fire, he needs to be more forthcoming with other information.

And to resign. If he picks-and-flips in public and claims we are fifty seven states, combined with all the other erroneous statements, then yes — he is mentally unfit. Why? That’s for a treatment center to handle.
Congress once removed a judge from the bench for spitting and swearing. This is worse — clear poor demeanor. It’s their duty to impeach/remove, but they won’t and should pay the political price.
As for his qualification, I believe it’s important for history to remember the DNC’s lousy Annenberg vetting system.

Seriously, it’s the sworn duty of each congressman to uphold the constitution and warn people if someone has not done enough to prove his/her qualifications. The party chair is also expected to defend his/her party’s dignity.
The desire to sort it out in court after the fact is a sign that something went terribly wrong in the vetting process.
