Clothing Belonging to Missing Teen, Chelsea King, Found Near Lake KTLA News March 1, 2010
POWAY, Ca -- Divers are searching a lake are surrounding shoreline near the location where investigators found a piece of clothing belonging to missing Poway teenager Chelsea King.
The evidence has not been described by law enforcement but Chelsea's mother told news stations Monday that her daughter's underwear was found in the Lake Hodges area.
King, 17, vanished after she went for a run last Thursday in San Diego's Rancho Bernardo Community Park.
Today, local agencies aided by divers from the Los Angeles Bureau of the FBI are using sonar and line searches to cover the 4 square mile lake.
DNA on a piece of King’s clothing found along the southern shore of the lake led to the arrest Sunday of registered sex offender John Albert Gardner III, according to law enforcement sources.
Gardner, who lives in Lake Elsinore, frequently visits his mother's home in Rancho Bernardo.
He was arrested around 4:20 p.m. Sunday in front of a Mexican restaurant and bar called Hernandez Hide-A-Way in the small community of Del Dios on the west shore of Lake Hodges near Escondido.
Numerous pieces of physical evidence led investigators to Gardner, Sheriff Bill Gore said.

Law that I would pass. The parole commission and the judge must have the parolee sleep in their own personal homes for 12 weeks before that criminal is released to the public on parole. If they agree after hosting said offender, than fine by me.

You are exactly right.. we have leaders who are more concerned with twinkies in school vending machines, than keeping our children safer, by allowing these perverts to roam the streets.
When they have the Perp, but not the victim, the solution is real simple. A civilized society at times has to do things like war to preserve the society.

A knife is faster
a gun is much more effective, and not a .38, I recommend a .45 compact.
