Sarah Palin may not be perfect, but she's conservative and it's her turn.

If we don't coalesce behind her, we stand a good chance of having the Democrats pull an Operation Chaos and stick us with Romney . . . which probably wouldn't be as bad as McCain.

But then, Rush had to swallow hard to conclude that Barak Obama would be worse than McCain . . .

Draft Palin

“The survey by Public Policy Polling of North Carolina”

You can stop reading right there. North Carolina voted Obama in 2008.

Romneybots are not well known for their intellectual abilities, especially the females. Pure emotion and sentimentality, with a bit of orgasm factor added in.

Romney will not be the nominee.
Uncomfortable truth, his religion is the impediment.

- - - -

I am comfortable stating that Romney will not be the nominee no matter how he is packaged for his run in 2012, no matter how his touted as “the experienced executive,” or “the man with the business acumen in the private sector,” or any of the other attributes his campaign may try to make him palatable to Republican voters, the facts still remain that he is not a conservative, he is a recent convert to the “pro-life movement” and alas! his religion is not acceptable to many Evangelicas and Catholics, hence, it’s his impediment to the nomination, just like it stopped him in Iowa.

I disagree that he can't be the nominee and I don't know how much his religion will impede him. I suspect that may be a problem for some people but would they be inclined to vote for Romney otherwise? I just don't know.

The establishment supports him and that makes him formidable in my book, mainly because other than Reagan, conservatives have a history of not uniting behind a candidate. The discussions right here on this forum supports that opinion.

Here in TX, there is a large contingent of country-club Republicans that would support the establishment candidate but no way do I believe Romney will carry TX in the presidential primary if Palin is in it (or maybe even Huckabee), for the same reason that KBH will not be the gubernatorial candidate.

Um...no...his liberalism is the impediment.

Both his liberalism and his religion are an impediment, and you should be more respectful, big'ol_freeper.

You’re all of those for continually proposing that FReepers are anti-Mormon bigots. I am sick of it.

Romney is unacceptable because he is liberal trash. And I say piss on any of you who enable him by proposing that FReepers are bigots.

I’m sorry I don’t have any respect for someone who continually comes on threads accusing FReepers of being bigots.

I agree, though I’d say the primary message they’re trying to send right now is that there three, and only three, realistic candidates, and that those three candidates happen to be three of the only Republicans who can’t beat Obama.

Now, I know a lot of people disagree with me with regard to Palin’s chances against Obama, but I’m pretty sure this is how the Democrats view it. I think they’d love it if the pool of “viable” Republican candidates was limited to Romney, Huckabee, and Palin.

PPP is certainly a Democrat polling firm, but come on. A lot of states voted Obama in 2008, and, before Obama, North Carolina hadn’t voted for a Democrat Presidential candidate since Carter in ‘76.

Mitt Romney is no different than Harry Reid

Mitt Romney is a flip-flopping socialist bum!

Some people just don't get the TEA Parties. RINO Romney is just more of the same. Dump him!
