Lytle is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, one of hundreds that dot the vast flat ranchlands of southern Texas. A smear of houses by the main highway between San Antonio and Laredo. Population: 2,383. The first streets only got paved here in the years after the second world war. A sewage system took a little longer, not being built until the 1960s. In short, Lytle, Texas, has never been big enough to have much impact on the politics of the Lone Star state. And few Texas politicians have ever paid much attention to it.

Exactly!!
And .. I might add .. I think her campaign is on purpose.
I would like to know who’s supporting her other than the Log Cabin people (who are extreme left most of the time).
We must never forget that Clinton supported the campaign of Perot .. and we ended up with that POS for 8 years.
How old are you?
So .. LaRaza is part of her support group.
Meaning she wants all ILLEGALS given citizenship.
NO WAY!!
These Ron Paul cultists are flat out strange. 911 is not the only conspiracy theory these people flock to. Also, in my discussions and debates with these types, there seems to be a common thread - all career politicians are evil (except for Ron Paul), tons of libertarian rhetoric, but ask them to put some solutions forward and they can't articulate any actionable ideas. Just lots of strange, paranoid accusations.
For the hardcore supporters, Medina is their own “obomamessiah”. No public record, lots of promises, poor judgement in choosing her words, but we're all suppose to simply resign ourselves in “faith” to this nobody. She says a lot of good things, but then again, so does my nieghbor who was caught killing the neighborhood cats.
Medina is history for refusing to clearly refute the truther claim on Beck’s radio show. Then she compounds the error in judgment by back tracking. She couldn’t come across more disingenuous.
MEDINA: Well, there's lots of mud that people would like to throw at Debra Medina and make stick. The truth is I'm an everyday ordinary person. I am fighting for the things that our founders fought for, those very basic principles of a constitutional republic, and I'm going to champion people that hold their government accountable, hold me accountable but that's the first time I've heard that accusation. So that's an interesting one.
GLENN: Right. Here's then let me be more frank and ask you the question: Do you believe the government was any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Centers on 9/11?
MEDINA: I don't, I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. So I don't I'm not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there. So I've not taken a position on that.
GLENN: I think the people of America might think that might be a yes.
MEDINA: Well
GLENN: Do you have advisors, do you have advisor
MEDINA: I'm not going to take a position.
GLENN: That's fine.
MEDINA: These questions have been raised and they are not answered.
Beck handed her the biggest softball question that could be given to a candidate.
Would the same quality of veritas that you like of her still hold if she would have said "I don't know" to a question asking if the holocaust happened?
I think you’re right. The left has tried this in many places. Too bad they can always find some kook to do their bidding.
motoman, I support Medina because she is a strong Constitutional/State Soverignty candidate... you have a problem with those reasons... or are those paranoid as you imply...
With regards to actions going forward, I believe the nullification of HC, Cap N Trade and any other unconstitutional actions from the federal government is the course for Texas to take. And I happen to think that Medina has a stronger position on those.
Paranoid enough for you. Quit calling names, you lightweight.
New sport for the left. Labeling the Tea Parties with whatever whacko charge or candidate they can dig up.
I heard the interview, and many here also heard it or heard the clip. Are we going to believe you or our lying ears? Don’t get me wrong, KBH and Perry are not great choices, they just aren’t crazy.
You may want to read post 30.
Read it several times if necessary.
I have always like Glenn Beck but when he pulled a Katie Couric on Medina and tried to make her look like something she repeatedly said she wasn't I lost all respect for him and you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to promote a proven RINO in Perry by slandering and trashing a woman you know nothing about. Our government is supposed to be a government of the people, for the people and by the people. NOT A GOVERNMENT OF CAREER POLITICIANS!
The RINO Perry is nothing less than a career politician and a socialist at that. The only reason he's painted over his stripes in the last year is because he knows he is in danger of being voted out of office; which is why he has dispatched his spawn to trash his stiffest competition.
Huh???? Say what?
Better a liar than a nut.
It will be interesting to see her overall vote totals come Tuesday. Paul in his run for the GOP in nomination in 08 got less than 67,000 votes statewide. Now he's better known I'd think but the anti establishment sentiment maybe play in her favor a bit. Some indications for early voting are showing a better turnout than normal for the governors race in some articles I've seen. We'll see.The following was taken last Saturday a week ago 2/20/10 at the Coliseum in Fort Worth. Granted there are more people there than this photo shows as some are seated along the sides closer to the podium but her crowds aren't overwhelming.
Can someone spirit her back across the border into Mexico and leave her there?? Just asking.
It’s a shame our choices in Texas are limited to Perry, Medina and KBH. I’d guess that the reason there is so much bickering on these threads is that none of the candidates are really that impressive so you have to pick and choose knowing there is a big downside to any of them.
It would be great if we had someone like McBerry in GA: http://georgiafirst.org/governor/enter.shtml... now that would be an easy choice.
