Lytle is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, one of hundreds that dot the vast flat ranchlands of southern Texas. A smear of houses by the main highway between San Antonio and Laredo. Population: 2,383. The first streets only got paved here in the years after the second world war. A sewage system took a little longer, not being built until the 1960s. In short, Lytle, Texas, has never been big enough to have much impact on the politics of the Lone Star state. And few Texas politicians have ever paid much attention to it.

No doubt about it, Medina has heavy support from all the tea parties around North Texas.
I thought Glenn Beck outed her as a truther and pretty much ended her run for Governor. Is she making a comeback?
Truthers are now right wing?
When did that happen? Is that like the Nazis supposedly being right wing when they were all Socialists?
I ain’t buying her. But then again I don’t live in Texas so it’s none of my business.
She’s toast!!! She thinks Bush and his administration could have been involved in 9/11. Give s a break!!
I don't live in California but I can tell you that those running that state into the ground are affecting everybody in other states. Why? because eventually we will have to bail them out for their misdeeds.
I live in Texas, and I can assure you that if we don't get our ILLEGAL problem under control we will wind up just like California.
So...it's everybody's business.
Guardian is a Communist newspaper that loves a troother.
She lost me when Beck nailed her on the 9/11 conspiracy theory.
Medina believes in the "Truth?"
Wow. She's getting my vote. Personally I'm tired of being lied to.
As for Beck "outing her." All I heard her say was she "didn't know." Sounded like a pretty honest and "truthful" answer to me.
Well, of course you are correct. I do wish some folks would make Maryland their interest and help overthrow the politburo here.
Yeah... Watch as all the "Perry" supporters slither onto this thread and try to trash her. I find it funny how apposed to the "truth" Perry supporters are but then their candidate is a liar so what the heck right? Trash away. Never let a good fantasy get in the way of the truth. Isn't that right all you Perry supporters. ;-)
Who crowned her the ‘tea party’ candidate. The loon former OBL truther doesn’t just get to say she is a tea party candidate. At our Tea Party yesterday there were two hippie looking college kids with Medina signs, everyone else seemed to be supporting Perry- all ages, all backgrounds.
Not quite. She gave it a lot more credence that an off-the-cuff "I don't know." And what about you? Do you think our government had a hand in the 9/11 attacks?
Sorry .. I would never vote for anybody who believes the Bush admin planned and carried out the attack on the WTC.
GET REAL!!!! This woman is NOT the NEW STAR of the right. I’m on the right, and she’s not even on the radar.
All she is doing is causing more of a split in the GOP .. and right now .. with all the skulduggery going on in the current admin .. we just don’t need this.
And .. if she’s professing to be on the RIGHT .. why does she support the 9/11 truther movement WHICH WAS STARTED ON THE LEFT ..??
It’s people like this that give the REAL RIGHT (conservatives) a bad name, and allows the left to make us look like a bunch of loons.
A "truther" and "truth" have nothing to do with each other.
Lets face it, she just isn’t ready for prime time.
She’s a chowder head.
I don’t think Medina has a chance of winning this and her ambiguity on 9-11 really didn’t serve her well. Anyone who believes the 9-11 truther crap is not fit for office. Where as birthers are harmless truthers are nuts. That said Perry will win. Perry may not be perfect but he has been supportive of the Tea Parties from the beginning. We have two Tea Party Candidates. I trust Perry because I know who he is.
Also it seems the log cabbies love Medina and I’m never supporting an ally of glbt radicalism.
