Seismic shockers are to be expected, but planet seems to be more active.
SNIP
While the Chilean earthquake wasn't directly related to Japan's 7.0-magnitude temblor, the two have some factors in common.
For one, any seismic waves that made their way from Japan to the Chilean coast could play a slight role in ground-shaking.
"It is too far away for any direct triggering, and those distances also make the seismic waves as they would pass by from the Haiti or Japan events pretty small because of attenuation," Arrowsmith told LiveScience. (Attenuation is the decrease in energy with distance.) "Nevertheless, if the Chilean fault surface were close to failure, those small waves could push it even closer."

I think we are in for a bad period of tectonic events. I posted a fairly detailed comment on the earlier Tsunami warning thread. Somewhere in the 200 comments. Got to run for the moment will be back later with the exact number, and some other thoughts.
No, they are not getting any worse. I don’t have any data to prove that, but I don’t need it. These days all you have to do is just state something is true, and it is. Yippeeeeeee!
BTW, Yellowstone is going to blow tomorrow and we are all going to die.

Fill all of the known faults with molten lead...it’s Manbearpig....I’m serial.
I just remembered that my comments are easy to find on the ping list. It was comment #269, on the post “Tsunami Warning for Hawaii.”
Labor pains...stronger and closer together.
I think the Killer Whalea KNEW the earthquake was coming... that’s why they were “agitated”... they had a natural instinct/warning to FLEE to deep water, but they couldn’t go...
hey! It makes as much sense as Al Gore’s glo-bull warning treatise.
The cycles ( labor birth pains ) will get worse and worse, shorter and shorter as time goes on... but, this is just the beginning of things to come.
Good question.
And the answer is yes and no.
The one today was worse then the one in 1985, (8.0) and not as bad as the one in 1960 (9.5).
Better than what?
YIKES!!!!!
My Freeper friends, before I even read the comments in this thread, or the entire article, let me predict a global warning alarming.
Al Gore must be scrambling his scrambled “schungen” off—humans damaging underground.
No, it makes a LOT more sense.
Let the mockers ignore it at their perl... how then ? would you also explain 3 major historic winter snow storms on the east coast in the last 3 weeks ? and signs in the heavens ?
To every action there is a reaction:
Obumber held a obumbercare conference, then there was the buggiest earthquake of my lifetime. Coincidence, I don’t think so.
Wait, they didn’t blame the quake on Global Warming?
I read this article fully expecting that. Maybe I just missed it.
Or was the talk of the earth being more active the last 15 years the media’s way of hinting that this is a recent phenomenon and therefore related to human activity?
Too many people driving heavy SUV's.
Bush's fault.
