For those who have neither the time nor the Red Bull required to wade through Al Gore's windy "We Cant Wish Away Climate Change" in the New York Times, permit me to summarize:
* Record winter storms and revelations of warmist fraud notwithstanding, we "face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it."
* To prevent this looming catastrophe, we must impose cap-'n-tax and a host of other oppressive "green" regulation.
* Unfortunately, "television" has replaced newspapers as the dominant medium. And "television" serves as the tool of powerful forces favoring "unrestrained markets" and opposing regulatory "reform." Though Gore stops short of naming television names, you don't have to read too hard between the lines to see that he's pointing the finger at Fox News in general and Glenn Beck in particular.
Here are the key excerpts [emphasis added]:

Let’s recuit her to steal Al away from Tipper! :)
What are those giant vehicles he has parked at his little crash pad? Those wouldn’t be SUVs?
Thanks for the post/ping. OUTSTANDING thread! Thanks to all posters.
The UNaccountable IPCC POS frontman, Al “No Controlling Legal Authority” “HE PLAYED ON OUR FEARS” Gore should be in jail, the collective defunded and/or dismantled.
Oh, no, Al Gore would never have an SUV. They are Priuses.
They only look big because they are parked next to his modest 6 room house which is cleverly designed to look much larger than it actually is. The energy-efficient windows are actually 6 by 8 inches.
AlBore: “apocalypse imminent, women, children, and persons of color to suffer most”
It's surprising Gore didn't proudly mention his internet invention. 53% of Americans don't think that global warming is mostly man-made, and they didn't form this opinion from what's shown on American television or printed in newspapers and magazines. The uncensored internet is the reason.
