For those who have neither the time nor the Red Bull required to wade through Al Gore's windy "We Cant Wish Away Climate Change" in the New York Times, permit me to summarize:
* Record winter storms and revelations of warmist fraud notwithstanding, we "face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it."
* To prevent this looming catastrophe, we must impose cap-'n-tax and a host of other oppressive "green" regulation.
* Unfortunately, "television" has replaced newspapers as the dominant medium. And "television" serves as the tool of powerful forces favoring "unrestrained markets" and opposing regulatory "reform." Though Gore stops short of naming television names, you don't have to read too hard between the lines to see that he's pointing the finger at Fox News in general and Glenn Beck in particular.
Here are the key excerpts [emphasis added]:

Me too!!!!
I’ll make the sacrifice. After all, the Earth is our Mother.
Algore has poked out of his spiderhole. How do we know this is the real Algore? Easy. His frequent use of superlatives in virtually every sentence is unsurpassed in the entire history of human civilization .....
And not to exaggerate, but he uses these scare tactics literally billions and billions of times ;-)
Um, you mean like the carbon credit market?? No,,I didn't think so..
“World To End, Fox News and Bush To Blame”
There fixed if for ya
NYT Headline:
World to End
Women, minorities disproportately impacted, experts say
Gore is shilling for the start-up green companies he has equity interests in.
Darn you George! Now look what ya did!
Holy crap, I think I’d get lost in a mansion that big. If it looks big from Google Earth its got to be gargantuan at eye level!
Wonder how much his electric bill is.
I’d be a wee bit more apt to believe this guy if didn’t stand to get so very rich from his positions.
Boy! How did Rush or Bush slide through this one!
A: The internet is a real invention—but Al Gore isn't really its inventor. The End Of The World Due To Climate Change really was invented by Al Gore, but it isn't a real phenomenon.
This is interesting from the article. ‘”[C]hanges in Americas political system including the replacement of newspapers and magazines by television as the dominant medium of communication...’
What that’s saying, regardless of the nonsense he spouts later,is that its dumb people watching television that have usurped the power from the elitist readers of rags such as the N.Y. Times. Its pretty profound that hes admitting that television is what moves politics. Hes as much as conceding the networks elected Obama.
I guess its even more surprising that the self proclaimed inventor of the internet is boosting television over that medium.
Al your time is coming, maybe Bernie will let you have the top bunk.
AlGore exhibits signs of inbreeding in that photo.
Gore stands to lose several hundred million if he is unable to perpetuate the fraud.
You can't blame it on man either.
Every year it is going to be either cooler or warmer than the last. However, wanting to find man as the cause is stretching the limits of credibility.
Al Gore has jumped the shark on this one.
We really dodged a bullet on that one.
