WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama scolded Virgina Republican Rep. Eric Cantor for the stack of paper he brought with him to the health summit, calling it the type of political stunt that gets in the way of lawmakers having a serious conversation. [snip]

Paul Ryan gave Obama and all the democrats a real schooling.
It was like I had bit into a York Peppermint Patty and drifted into a land where politicians had a mind of their own.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military’s secondary health ins.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollees cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
Snip The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.
Snip
Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees in fiscal 2010, Matz said. We took them at their word, and I cant believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward, he added.
I suppose strictly speaking is was a prop.
Legislation written without the input of any opposing party whatsoever.
Two thousand, four hundred pages that the "authors" have the nerve to admit they haven't read.
But it's all too "urgent" to do it right?
Umm.
OK.
Now legislation is nothing but a “stunt”. Congress is not a body of lawmakers. No, they are “stunt-makers”. No wonder 0 voted “present” so much.
“The least experienced person in the room.” Yes, and the goofiest.
“Obama looked childish. He doesnt realize he looked so foolish.” Exactly what I was thinking. This was a Grade AAA “Stand up Chuck” moment.
“Im surprised the Dems didnt go greenie and lecture about how many trees were killed to print the pile of crap.” Someone might.
“But it’s all too “urgent” to do it right?” Right. They need it so “urgently” that they have no time to read it, even though its affects are delayed for years. Oh, and trying to forbid future “stunt-makers” from writing “stunts” that can overturn this “stunt”.
“Nobody can be that stupid.”
“Yes ... we ... can ...!”
But it looks like he saved it for later.
I’m glad Breitbart helped put a spotlight on this one key goof-up by Obama.
Yeah. Like someone earlier wrote, Obama must have drafted a prop.
