[history]
Environmental activists have blasted Harrison Ford for making "unnecessary" trips by air, following revelations he once made a jet journey to buy a cheeseburger.
The "Indiana Jones" star began flying when he was 52. After receiving his license, he went on to purchase several aircraft, which he keeps at Santa Monica Airport in California.

No flights... no fuel sales, no mechanic, no co-pilot, no need to rent space, no sales to vendors restocking the food on board.....
Surf's up...

If I really wanted to be obscure I might have used BT-16 (at least I think its BT-16) from a barely audible chat between two stormtroopers while Obi Wan is skulking about the death star that goes like this
ST 1 Have you checked out the new BT-16?
ST 2 I hear it’s really something....What was that!?

HOLLYWOOD TYPES ARE PERHAPS THE MOST HYPOCRITICAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. THE ONLY OTHER CONTENDERS ARE DC POLITICIANS, PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE HAMPTONS AND ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE OF NYC.
And throw in Marin County, CA in there as well. A friend of mind went to a Sierra Club Meeting in Marin and he said that every other car in the Parking Lot was some kind of gas-guzzling RV.

Pitiful- a 70 year old man( yeah, they keep changing his birthdate( originally it was 1940) thinks hes Han Solo, takes up with a woman younger than some of his kids, and spouts environmental BS at every opportunity.
Does he spout environmental BS? I didn't see any in the article. As for his younger wife and his use of the plane he bought with money he earned - hey, more power to him. Just as long as he's not being a hypocrite.

Harris Ranch for a steak dinner has always been a favorite!
Exactly. It may be the only, uh, hamburger joint that has it's own airstrip.

Just for the record, Mr. Ford ownes about 7 planes. 5 single engine land planes, a helicopter, and 1 jet. They are, Bell 407 helicopter, 1929 Waco Taperwing, de Havilland Beaver, Cessna Grand Caravan, Aviat Husky, Beech Bonanza B36T3, Cessna Citation CJ3 jet.
I’m sure that 99% of the timee when he is local flying he uses one of the SE planes (no need for a co-pilot) and leaves no more carbon footprint than if he took his Escalade. One of his favorite planes to fly locally is the Husky, a 2 seat, 4 cylinder, taildragger.

Ford is the real thing when it comes to airplanes. He goes to Oshkosh yearly and has for many years. He has led several fundraisers for the EAA.
BTW, the sound of the Millennium Falcon was recorded at Oshkosh during the EAA airshow. It is the sound of a P-51 Mustang that was reversed.
