It is still a BAD BILL that spends billions of dollars that we do not have and will do little if anything to aleviate the problem or create jobs. Sure Mr. Brown may not want to tax, but he is willing to SPEND, BILLIONS of dollars that do not exist.

Let’s hope his “independence” extends to occasionally supporting conservative causes.

I'm not hammering him for this vote but I still agree completely with your post.

Frankly, Sen. Brown, most of us conservatives don’t give a d@#* about your spin. Your election was largely a symbolic victory. As a result, symbolic acts matter more for you. And what did you do with your first vote, a very symbolic statement? You sided with the donks and voted for MORE SPENDING.

That said, we knew you weren’t a conservative, just slightly better than the donk candidate. Your vote just confirmed that.

Am listening to Brown with Carr right now and he just accused people of "not understanding" cloture and attributed angry callers to his office as being given marching orders from "special interests."

He's already been assimilated into the Senate Borg Rat Collective, not that I would expect anything less of a Romney man.

Hotsie Scottsie is no more of a serious person than he was when he was posing nude for some magazine. He ran against a piece of dogmeat and won. BFD. One more vote for the Snowe Collins McCain wing of the party. Arrogant and not very bright, as evidenced by his conduct toward his own daughter on election night.

he’s only been in the Senate two weeks and he’s already learned how to stretch a simple response into 17 minutes....the boy learns fast!

Well after hearing of the voters’ angst at least he didn’t hesitate to go on Howie Carr’s program to explain himself, took several calls too. Don’t think Ms. Croakley would’ve bothered doing that.

I thought he explained himself well. His reasoning included the fact the money was already in the pipeline, so why not do the best he could with it. I disagree, but he is a Mass. Republican, and that’s what you will get.
So he betrayed his voters. Maybe he’ll do that about forty per cent of the time. Still, that’s a lot better than a Dem betraying the country 100 per cent of the time.
I’ll have to side with Rush on this one, though I usually like GB’s thinking. In the case of a northeast Republican, you need to see the glass as half full.
I’ll reserve my outrage for when DeMint or Pence start voting this way.
