(CNN) -- The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.

Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.

I hope you and your bleeding heart comrades run tight ships at home because I wouldn’t want you to lose everything over something a family member done.

You were against the OJ civil suit also?

Her husband was killed by this maniac. Have you no mercy?

The wife wasn't the co-pilot.

BTW I do feel terrible for his family. I just don’t think suing the wife makes sense. It’s become what people do now tho, someone has to pay (and lawyers love it).

because as far as I know NONE pay in the event of a suicide.

Depends. If the life insurance policy is more than two years old, they pay, but there may be limits to the benefit.

Like I said earlier, this thread is bringing all the sicko's out from the woodwork.

I agree. Don't get used to it.

It would seem the lawyers will certainly get their pound of flesh.....and $$$$$ for their pockets.

Blood money is blood money, no matter how it's explained or rationalized.

Really, these suits are not comparable. OJ was sued in civil court because he got away with murder (and was still alive). Unless you really believe that the wife was involved, the comparison is not there.

He might have been planning this for months, but that does not mean she was privvy to his plans.

Let's face it, the guy had issues.

Someone who is being paranoid will shut out loved ones, too.

Things may have just reached a head and she either left him or he ran her off.

That still does not mean she knew of his plans.

I see both women as victims here, they have both been widowed.

I do not see where one widow can sue another for the actions of an adult third party.

Umm, OJ is still alive isn't he?

OJ himself was the one that the civil suit was brought against. Not close to being an accurate comparison.

Only a fool would think insurance would pay off on deliberate destruction.

Of course it is a frivolous lawsuit which will eventually be dismissed but not before time and money are wasted. The lady didn’t wait too long before filing this ridiculous lawsuit

I can't believe all the sicko's tonight. A spouse is murdered while at work and she is railed upon.

Never mind. I understand the way y'all minds work.

' 1. The grieved widow's husband worked for the IRS (EVIL)

2. The murderer hates the IRS (GOOD)

3. The grieve widow has a lawyer (EVIL)

4. The murderer took out an IRS office (Applause!).

Alright, explain to me how is was or is cowardly to fly a plane into a building, resulting in your own death? Crazy, murderous, I get that. Cowardly? No, that makes no sense.

I’ll leave the “doobies” to you, since you apparently know the slang. Me, I don’t smoke marijuana.

I absolutely agree. It’s hard to fault someone for what they say in grief. Especially everyday people who are not used to the cameras and reporters.

WRONG!!!! Two widows, both victims. One whose greed outweighs her grief.
