The writer wants their opinions. Oh yeah, and it would really help if you look like Haley Berry or Beyonce.
Hey didn’t Bill Clinton do something like this, but he also wanted a photo?
It depends, if the subject is something like Sickle Cell Anemia, for example, then the context of requested participants is understandable. Not enough information here to say this is discrimination or simply having a target audience and/or research group.
OR some other half-black women..
Well, you can still choose to associate with people you pick. Also, even if you are paying someone, if they aren’t an employee, I don’t think there is anything that says there’s “discrimination” of any sort.
That said, if a “United Caucasian College Fund” was set up similar to the “United Negro College Fund,” you can bet liberals would have a problem with that.
It sounds like a nefarious recruiting scheme. I wouldn’t doubt if census job applications are passed out.
Or she tries to get everyone to sign up to sell Amway or Mary Kay. :->
This is apparently a private, not government event. She is looking for a particular frame of reference. I don’t think it would be discrimination if they asked for only white women, or black women. If the government did it, I would have more of a problem. All that said, this invitation might have been worded differently.
I think you should attend and report to Free Republic on what transpires.
Don’t get bogged down in the white issue, if challenged just tell them you have been very successful in passing. as a person who has passed, you might get a special assignment that others are unable to do.
I likes my wimmin like I likes my coffee.
Expensive, in a paper cup, and burns you if you tip her wrong?
I don’t think we are about Amway or Mary Kay unless they turn out to be front groups for Democrat vote corruption schemes.
LMAO
Sheesh I left off the 'C'
Sounds like she’s doing market research for a book targeted at that particular demographic. People are not required to be “equal opportunity” when soliciting opinions.
I see no problem with this. Let freedom ring, baby.

You pay $50 for a cup of coffee?
Haha. Sorry, couldn’t resist ... its my standard response to that statement.

I looked up the host, Evie’s Events and she seems to specialize in culture, social events, dance and spiritual issues.

It seems her area would focus on a specific target audience and research groups. After seeing that, I wouldn’t call it discrimination, more like focusing on a specific group- not much different than marketing campaigns.
