Reconciliation is one thing, but the only way to pass their bill will be to go to the nuclear option to end debate. I would hope half the country will go ballistic if that happens.

This post is smoking gun proof that the dems are wilfully destroying American Freedom if they use Reconcilation as they seem to want to. Obama is clear on his views here. Joe Biden even invoked God.

Speaking of hypocrisy, I don't know where you yourself stood on the issue years ago, but I do remember where I did.
I was against the "nuclear" option, as it was termed.
I took some heat for it too, right here at FR. So what I mean to say is, if these same folks are against it now, but were for it then...well, you do the math. The trouble is, I can't recall exactly who my protagonists were. The better news is that there were a few others here who dared to oppose the option openly on this forum. So not all here are hypocrites, but on this issue, we have more than a few who in the least, should be eating their words (of five yrs ago).
If you can remember, what was the outcome? Did they use it? For what legistlation?
Wasn’t used. This was the birth of the “Gang of 14”, spearheaded by election-time conservative McCain, and ultimate rule-changer Sheets Byrd.
It was referring to judicial filibusters of Bush’s nominees. A majority wanted to approve them, but the Democrats insisted on 60. Now that it’s reversed, the Rats want to change the rules...again...if I recall, their wanting to change the rules to fit themselves is the reason the number is now AT 60, down from 2/3 (thank you, Sheets Byrd).
'So as it stands now, the Dems want to GO NUCLEAR with the biggest, most far reaching legislative change since Roosevelt.
Present Democrat Party hypocrisy know no bounds! It's off the charts.
I remember this, and felt Bush was violating conservative principles of Government restraint.
The “nuke” option should never be used to bypass the Representative form of governing.
That is tyranny.
Interesting that the Dums hold majorities in Both branches of Government YET they find it necessary to FORCE their c/f/s agenda on the PEOPLE.
