Former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik, who was hailed as a hero after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks and nearly became chief of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, was sentenced to four years behind bars Thursday for eight felonies....
Federal guidelines indicated Kerik's sentence should be between 27 and 33 months in prison. Robinson said he went beyond the guidelines because they could not account for certain factors.

I also noticed that skipjack and Jimmy on your profile page. You are making me incredibly homesick at the moment. And
hungry.

Certain factors. Like maybe not a democrat? If you're not careful, that sliver of righteousness is gonna poke your eye out.

it would seem to me that somehow he’s being made a scapegoat of the Bush Adm by the Obama Admin.

I'll take a dozen, beer-steamed and caked in Old Bay, thank you.
And I'm the one who gives my crab cake sammich a good dollop of Worcestershire sauce before I devour it. I'm stuck in Alabama, where they think a crab cake made of surimi is good eating.
I miss home. I miss the bay. I miss Inner Harbor. I miss the Potomac. I miss Ocean City. I miss the mountains I was born in. It's like my birthright has been overrun with flesh-eating, alien space cockroaches up there.

Having lived in Anne Arundel County on and off for about ten years, I’ve had some pretty good crab cakes in Annapolis. I live in Florida now, and for years, I wouldn’t touch any crab cakes outside of “the FREE State.” But a friend turned me on to the crab cakes at The Bonefish Grill. They are outstanding, better than any I’ve ever had, including Phillip’s in the Inner Harbor.

Sure thing! I'm from Allegany County, but I lived for over a decade in Montgomery County. My aunt's family lived in Catonsville for almost 50 years. My mother swears that G&M crabcakes in Linthicum Heights are the best, but I've had some around Fells Point that are nothing to sneeze at. Back home, we have (had?) a place called The Cracked Claw that
rocked. We may need to have a pig-out to compare notes. LOL And if you want to get our state back to where it belongs, I'll roll up my sleeves and give you all the muscle I've got. It's a damn shame what has happened to it.
