No evidence of poison plot at Fort Jackson, investigators say

ive soldiers at Fort Jackson, S.C., have been investigated on suspicion of making threats against fellow servicemembers, but officials have found no substantive evidence of misconduct, U.S. military spokesmen said early Friday.

The Christian Broadcasting Network, founded by evangelist Pat Robertson, has reported that soldiers were suspected of plotting to poison the food supply at the Army base. The report said the soldiers were part of an Army translation program that includes Arabic speakers.

Army investigators have been conducting a probe since December, but "we have not found any credible information to substantiate the allegations," said Christopher Grey, a spokesman for the Army Criminal Investigation Command.

It is unusual for the agency to comment on the preliminary findings of an ongoing investigation.

A statement released by authorities at Fort Jackson also said no credible evidence has been found to support the allegations.

"At no time was there any danger to the Fort Jackson community," the statement said.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. Oh, and that Fort Hood thing a couple of months ago? That didn’t happen either.

Why are we using Muslims as translators? There are plenty of Arabic-speaking Christians in the Middle East. They wouldn't have any reason to mistranslate something

F'ing Army liars.

Ever since they LIED about what happened to Pat Tillman, my confidence in the Army hierarchy's ability to tell the truth has diminished to nothing.

Even if the muslims poisoned our Soldiers, the filthy weasels like General Casey sure as hell won't allow the American people to find out about it.

Yeah. And even after he publicly murdered a dozen troops while shouting “Allahu Akbar,” the lengthy military report on the Fort Hood Shooter never once mentioned the word Islam. It was just a little misunderstanding.

You’re right too,...they’re burying it.

Don’t want to “profile” or hurt any Islamofascist “feelings”.

I’m still betting they were let out on bail and disappeared.

Emperor Obozo couldn’t afford that.

They might find reason to mistranslate different than the Mohammedans, but at least it would be against the Christians' religion to do so.

CBN goes off half-cocked and everybody gets Truther on the Army. If anybody has evidence the Army knowlingly gives a pass to men who tried to poison a thousand soldiers, by all means post it.

Otherwise I’d have to think it’s the Pat Robertson “I got crazy in my pants” culture striking again.

CBN Exclusive: Five Muslim Soldiers Arrested at Fort Jackson in South Carolina
CBN ^ | 2/18/10 | Erick Stakelbeck

CBN News has learned exclusively that five Muslim soldiers at Fort Jackson in South Carolina were arrested just before Christmas and are in custody. The five men were part of the Arabic Translation program at the base.

The men are suspected of trying to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson.

A source with intimate knowledge of the investigation, which is ongoing, told CBN News investigators suspect the “Fort Jackson Five” may have been in contact with the group of five Washington, DC area Muslims that traveled to Pakistan to wage jihad against U.S. troops in December. That group was arrested by Pakistani authorities, also just before Christmas.

As far as FR is concerned, I only noticed CBN as the EXCLUSIVE source. I wondered at the time about their credibility getting a story and Fox not getting it. Now we see why.
