The Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation announced that a fleet of 20 ships would be sent to break Israels embargo on Hamas-run Gaza two months from now. Five of the ships will be under the auspices of IHH; the support of charitable businessmen in Turkey is being sought for funding to purchase them....
The ships were said to be planning to set sail for Gaza in March, in a convoy initiated by Hamas terror activist Muhammad Sualha, currently in Britain.(emphasis added)

..."This Turkish defeat stopped Turkey's expansion into the Mediterranean, thus maintaining western dominance, and confidence grew in the west that Turks, previously unstoppable, could be beaten."
...
Thus, this victory for the Holy League was historically important not only because the Turks lost 80 ships sunk and 130 captured by the Allies, and 30,000 men killed (not including 12,000 Christian galley slaves who were freed) while allied losses were only 7,500 men and 17 galleys - but because the victory heralded the end of Turkish supremacy in the Mediterranean.[7][14] It has been said that "after Lepanto the pendulum swung back the other way and the wealth began to flow from East to West", as well as "a crucial turning point in the ongoing conflict between the Middle East and Europe, which has not yet completely been resolved."
If people are going to place bets on this event maybe it should be called Fantasy Flotilla!
Does anyone know if Cynthia McKinney is going to part of this?
1. The Israeli navy demands that the vessels heave-to for inspection.
2. Any contraband (military or dual-use technology) will result in seizure of the ship and its cargo; the vessels are taken to Haifa or Tel Aviv as prizes of war. Any obstructive persons can be struck below in irons.
3. Turkey can get the ships back by paying a fee to Israel, or Israel can sell them in prize courts.
4. If they carry only food and medicines and civilian clothing, they can pass.
If they try to evade the ships, then Israel can sink them.

If this works, truck convoys from Mexico, humanitarian aid, of course. The drug cartels will organize them.
Sounds like time for the Israelis and Japanese whalers to form a mutual defense pact.

Ramming Speed!
Turkey sure seems to be itching for a fight. I hope Israel has two words for them: Target Practice.
The Muslims will win the more important battle - the one of world popular opinion. I feel sorry for Israel. They’re screwed and there’s not a damn thing they can do about it.
“The Muslims will win the more important battle - the one of world popular opinion. I feel sorry for Israel. Theyre screwed and theres not a damn thing they can do about it.”
The Muslims, for some reason, are already more popular worldwide than Israel. Who else would they lose as a result of this incident? US Christians? No.
What is the negative effect of this incident on Israel? US foreign policy will still support them. I don’t see any fallout from this.

You think Obama supports Israel?

Wait until it happens. The flotilla hasn’t even set sail yet.
Cynthia !!
Cynthia Mckinney!!..... are you going?
First we must define terms.
How small can a ship be until it becomes a boat?
They are planning a swarm just like the Iranians taught them
These are Turkish Iranian surrogates
Won’t need that, given these are civilian ships. One naval artillery shell a ship would sink or cripple them.
An adequately-large hole in a hull negates the benefits of Archimedes’ principle...
Me: “US foreign policy will still support them.
You: “You think Obama supports Israel?”
Absolutely not! But the American people, the American military, and at least some of the State Department still do. I don’t expect Obama to be any more successful in overcoming inertia than a good President would be.
Me: I dont see any fallout from this.

Quite true. When will it sail?
