According to an unnamed source cited by London's Sunday Times, Israel was in fact behind last months assassination of a top Hamas operative in Dubai, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally authorized the hit.
The Israeli source told the newspaper that Netanyahu visited Mossad headquarters in early January and was told of a plan to take out Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh shortly after he checked into his hotel in Dubai. According to the report, Netanyahu wished the best of luck to Mossad chief Meir Dagan and several of the agents who were to take part in the hit.

I presume you mean the kid back in 2000 with his father? Do you have a reliable source for this claim regarding Palestinians declaring responsibility. I find it very hard to believe.

Whatever. I’m interested in your assertion and I”d like to read more, but I certainly wouldn’t be willing to believe it or quote it myself without some supporting evidence.

Let’s be clear - it is not my assertion - it is a fact. Go do your own research - it was in the news and on Fox as well at the time.

Actually, it is your assertion and it is not a fact until supporting evidence has been provided. Let’s leave this - I was interested to see the evidence but you’ve taken a defensive tack and obviously feel that you shouldn’t be asked for detail on your claim. That’s a pity, because it weakens the ability of those like myself who would otherwise further discuss the matter, and if the evidence was relaible, assist in debunking a myth.
As for doing the research myself, what search terms woul;d you recommend: I’ve found that ‘who killed dead palestinian boy’ was no help, but I’m open to suggestions...
Today’s reports from Dubai said the “suspect” pool had risen to 26. Much as I admire BiBi and the boys, I just can’t see the Institute fielding a 10 or 15-man kidon team for a single Hamas thug. Sure, some may have been just katsas, but when you go above 5 or 6 shooters for something like this, you’re really pushing Mr. Murphy’s tolerance set-point. If your intel is spot-on, you can even get by with 2 or 3 max.
My hearty congratulations to the state of Israel and to the Mossad for eliminating this dirty cockroach from the face of the Earth.

Thank you for providing the link. Interesting, but I’ll have to remain skeptical until I see it in a more mainstream organ like the Jerusalem Post. It’s too convenient to believe it and the WND haven’t had a great track record for accuracy in the past.
