HARARE, Zimbabwe -- President Robert Mugabe defended a law requiring Zimbabwean businesses to be controlled by blacks, underlining differences with his governing partners in an interview Saturday.
Mugabe's governing partner, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change, has said the law is unworkable and will discourage much-needed investment.
The law was passed by parliament when it was still dominated by Mugabe's lawmakers in 2008 is set to go into effect March 1.

Gee I wonder how long it will take Obama to take a page out of Mugabe’s playbook....Using Equality and fairness as sound reasoning will he insist that ALL the corporations that took bail out monies be requred to have minority CEO’s?? And if not Obama will appoint the CEO’s?? Affirmative Action Capitalism......Spreading the wealth back to the rightfull owners. I would have said it would never happen in America before Obama...But now after a year of the boy king’s rule... I’m not so sure.....
We only need to look to Detroit for our own lab experiment according to the thesis of Robert Mugabe—and his ‘cousin’ admirer Obama!
"ObaMugabe" here we come.....
Where are all of the “green jobs” in Zimbabwe?
Sounds like RACISM to me...
and waits...
Then again, we have our own problem...
I wonder how long it will be before we are being shown pictures of starving African children in Zimbabwe with the implications that, somehow, Americans are responsible for the problems because of white people being racist?
Isn’t this a&&monkey dead yet?
Mugabe needs a cruise missile down his palace’s smokestack. Should have been done years ago by the Brits the former colonial masters. Back when that place was productive and civilized and called Rhodesia. Some of the best arable land in Africa at the nice cooler altitude of 5,000 ft.
You could grow anything there with little effort as long as you were mechanized and knew some modern farming. Tobacco being the premium cash crop
How are Barack Hussein Obama, the Black Panther Party (BPP), Black Liberation Army (BLA), Weather Underground (WU), global Muslim Brotherhood (MB) network and its subsidiary Al Qaeda, and Kenyan and American Politics all interconnected?
Here’s an excerpt:
Many of those who are members of the MB USA are Arabs in America, while some are Arab-Americans. The Black Muslim Brotherhood in the USA is a branch of the MB USA and includes a number of Black Liberationist ministers and some members of their congregations. Members of the MB USA and the Black Muslim Brotherhood (in the form of the Black Panther Party and the Black liberation Army and various other groups) can be radical Islamic Extremists in the sense that they desire more power, and this, in turn, requires the economic and political systems in America to be changed.
One must also remember that OBAMAs family on both sides (OBAMA and ODINGA) is rooted in the sociopolitical tumult of the last 60 years leading up to Kenyas break from great Britain and its attempts to be a powerful player on the African and worldwide stage. And. with a President of the USA and a Vice President of Kenya in the family OBAMAs and ODINGAs in Kenya, the USA, and points elsewhere would have to be heady with a skewed sense of empowerment.
Lastly, what effect has the emergence of OBAMA and his ideology had on Black Americans? One perspective is available by reading articles that are posted on the
Black Educator website. The mission of the website is stated as:
News, analysis, resources and documents that help us advance Education for
Liberation. In addition, we provide critical analysis of racism and CAPITALISM
in all their ugly forms.
